We knew it was going to be a tough game, but what an incredible experience & opportunity for our boys to take on South Africa. Proud no matter the result. 💙🔥

The Sports World Fijian U20 side went down 25-82 to the reigning World Champions in a valuable test match that exposed the intensity and standard required at the highest level.

More importantly, this was a crucial opportunity for the coaching staff to assess combinations, performance, and areas for growth as preparations continue for the JWC in Georgia next month and July. Drawn in a challenging pool alongside France, Australia, and Spain, this young Fiji side continues to build resilience, belief, and unity with every outing. The lessons from today will shape the team for the battles ahead.

The journey continues. We keep learning, we keep growing, and we keep flying the Fiji flag with pride. 🇫🇯

The Sports World Fijian under-20 team showed plenty of determination and attacking flair in their opening match of the U20 International Series, narrowly going down 29-23 to Georgia.

Fiji crossed the line four times in an exciting first-half performance and added a penalty in the second half, highlighting the team’s strong attacking potential. Despite the challenges of two yellow cards to Apen*sa Naevo and captain Anare Tabakaucoro, the boys continued to fight hard until the final whistle.

There were many positives to take from the match, while also identifying areas for improvement ahead of their next challenge against South Africa on the 27th. The team will look to build on their strengths, tighten up discipline, and come back even stronger.

Fiji leads 20-12 at halftime, with a hat-trick from Judah Draiva and another try from Maleli Nauvasi. 🇫🇯
