Resistance band squat with kettlebell upright row

I love working my glutes but also enjoy exercises that work other muscles too. Squats are my FAVOURITE exercise ever, so I decided to incorporate a resistance band for extra resistance and then I wanted to incorporate something for the upper body and chose the upright row with a kettlebell. This little exercise is great for when I want to do something more than just the standard Squat.

Favourite Fitness Personality - Jenna Louise Douros

Jenna is one of my fav fitness personalities, why? because she shows so much determination to do anything she sets her heart too. She will try ANYTHING and will keep trying until she conquers it.
I like the way her workouts change and the style of workouts she does.

When I see Jenna working out, it motivates me more to get out and try something different and keep going instead of giving up when it gets too hard. I love that motivation I get from her.

Here is a quote from Jenna that I have on my wall.

'Out run the negatives. Those "can'ts & won'ts"... Ditch 'em. Live life at full speed. And don't be afraid to venture off the beaten path, you just may find yourself among the clouds'

Aerobics may be a smart workout for your brain at any age 14/05/2020

"Aerobics may be a smart workout for your brain at any age"
states a study that was published in the May 13, 2020, online issue of Neurology®, the medical journal of the American Academy of Neurology.

The study suggests that if you are an older adult or not an active person, if you start an exercise regime that includes aerobics exercise, and stick with it for 6 months or longer, this could help you with your thinking and memory patterns.

The author of the study Marc J. Poulin, Ph.D., D.Phil., from the Cu***ng School of Medicine at the University of Calgary in Alberta, Canada, says that his and his teams finding can be quite important especially when it comes to older adults that are at risk of Alzheimer's and other brain diseases.

Here is a picture of my favourite exercise machine.... anyone know what it is?

That is right, Leg Press

This piece of equipment is high on my list to use when I am doing my legs. I love it!!

Benefits of the Leg Press:
- It doesn't just build strength in the quads, it also builds your hamstrings and glutes, AMAZING!
- Can use different variations not just one standard one

The Leg Press works by you lifting a weighted platform up and away from your body. This weighted plate can be adjusted and some leg press machines can offer the steepness to be adjusted as well.

Very easy machine to use but alot of people feel a little intimidated when they see it.

Give it a go and let me know how you go with it.
