Birthday shout outs and, items of interest.

Another week without any Birthday's to celebrate therefore, no shout outs.

Three (3) things to bring up on the "items of interest" front.

1. Don't forget that the Club Championships are on over the next two weekends (June 13 & 14 and June 20 & 21). This means that unless you are playing in the championships, there will be no normal competitions over these two weekends. I believe entries close for the championships this Thursday (June 11) after the usual comp round.

2. The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is scheduled for Saturday July 4 after the next teams event. Be there to catch up on all the news from the committee.

3. Finally, it is also nearly time to renew your club membership which is dues on July 1. This will need to include membership the the complex owners so you can cash in on the reduced green fees etc. which is part of the membership with them.

Another week without any birthday's therefore, no shout outs.

A couple of things for you on the "items of interest" front.

First off, don't forget to put you nominations in for the club championships which is fast appraoching. A slight change this year, with the championships being played over two weekends. That being June 13 & 14 and June 20 & 21. The 72 hole club championshiups will be 18 holes on each of the four dates mentioned. A "Veterans" event will also be played and will be decided by playing 18 holes on each of the Saturday's mentioned.

The other thing to be aware of the Annual General Metting (AGM) will take place after the July teams event (July 4). Please come along and hear what the club has done over the past 12 months and what they plan to do in the coming 12 months. You may well be able to bring up anything you might like to see happen so the committee can discuss it and, take any actions they deem appropriate.

On the "items of interest' front, don't forget that the Club Championships are coming up very soon. The championships will be played over two weekends and, they are June 13 & 14 and the following weekend June 20 & 21. 18 holes each on each of the 4 days mentioned to decide the 72 hole Club Champion/s.

There is also a "Veterans" event being run with 18 holes being played on the two Saturday's. June 13 and June 20. A light lunch will be catered for after the completion of the fourth round on Sunday June 21.

I have also received notice from Phil in Waverly (Melbourne), advising that his Waverly Open is now open for anyone interested in playing to register their intent. Please contact Phil direct if you intend to participate in this event.

On the "items of interest" front, the Club Championships are coming up soon. The championships will be held over two weekends, with 18 holes on both the Saturday's and Sunday's. The dates are, June 13 & 14 and June 20 & 21. 18 holes are to be played on each of the 4 days. In conjunction with the usual 72 hole championship, there will be a "Veterans" event for those of you who reckon you can only play 18 holes on each weekend. Therefore, the veterans event will be 18 holes on both of the Saturday's.

An entry sheet will be placed on the notice board in the club room so, keep an eye out for this and, put your name down against whichever event you wish to participate in. A light lunch will be catered for the final Sunday and, it is asked that if you are playing on that day, please bring a plate of sweet things

Two birthday's to help celebrate this week and, they are;

Helen Angel on Thursday May 14.

Big birthday wishes to both of you and we, all the members, hope you have a wonderful day with family and friends.

Not a great deal on the "items of interest front this week. Please remember tht winter is almost upon us and, there has already been some heavy dew on the ground which makes for some slippery conditions. Please be careful out there and stay safe.

The course is undergoing some work to the irigation system and this should keep improving the condition of the course. Support the new owners as they seem (well to me at least) to be working to make this one of the best courses going around.
