Tonight's was the first time I have taught 19 people how to use medieval daggers.

It was a fantastic night. There were a lot of interesting conversations and lovely techniques from everyone tonight. Tonight, My cup runneth over with joy and enthusiasm from all the Glecans new and old. Everyone did rule 3 tonight.

Lets try something new...

With our Longsword syllabus now complete, GLECA Sydney is moving on to our next weapon: Medieval Dagger.

This week, we’re starting with the fundamentals, covering different ways to hold a dagger, basic guards and foundational strikes.

Whether you’re a regular student or completely new to historical martial arts, it’s a great opportunity to build a new skill set from the ground up.

We will be focused on longsword tonight at GLECA Sydney.
Training starts at 7:30pm.

GLECA training sessions work through structured drills, technical fundamentals, and controlled partner exercises designed to build timing, distance, and clean mechanics. Whether you’re brand new or refining existing skills, the session will cater to all experience levels.

All experience levels are welcome. Bring a water bottle and a willingness to learn, we’ll take care of the rest.

GLECA Sydney Grading is this Wednesday!

Grading is happening this Wednesday at our normal training time. (7:30pm)

For those participating, the theory test is now available. The theory test is recommended to be completed before class, so you’re prepared for the grading session.

If you have any questions about the grading process or what you need to prepare, reach out to Chris or Ken before Wednesday.

Good luck to everyone undertaking their grading, and we’ll see you in class!
