In our classes at Meander Valley Yoga, we go beyond the asana (postures) and also teach pranayama (breathwork), mudra (energy gestures), bandha (energy locks), yoga nidra (psychic sleep) and meditation.
What is a mudra and what is its purpose? While the asanas typically work on the physical body, mudras are said to be more powerful - releasing a certain energy within the body, whether for clarity, healing, strength or other. They help us become aware of our inherent 'prana' and how it moves within us.
Would you like to develop and experience this yourself? Why not join our team of teachers in our weekly classes to get started:
Sundays 5pm Online via Zoom,
Tuesdays 9.15am Westbury,
Tuesdays 3.30pm Western Creek,
Wednesdays 5pm Deloraine,
