Thank you Ballina RSL Club for including Ballina Lighthouse & Lismore SLSC in this year’s ClubGRANTS Community Recognition. Last Wednesday President Andrew Dougherty attended the dinner to receive the grant donation.

Hats off to Ballina RSL who celebrate a record $533,000 in support for our community! This year’s contribution includes $469,000 in ClubGRANTS funding and $64,000 in sponsorships and donations, with both cash and in-kind assistance helping local organisations deliver their important work.

Without support like this our community work on the beach would be difficult to sustain.

Our club recognised for work done out of the water.

Surf Life Saving Far North Coast Branch held their awards night at Brunswick Heads SLSC last night with Ballina Club bringing home two awards.

“Community Engagement of the Year” was taken out for the members’ extra hours of volunteer work to educate local school groups on surf safety and basic rescue techniques.

“Administrator of the Year” was awarded to Karen Perris who is currently Director of Administration and a dedicated Trainer of the Bronze Medallion for the club.
