🔵⚪ THE AFL PREMIERSHIP CUP IS COMING TO EPPING! ⚪🔵

The Epping Football Netball Club in conjunction with the AFL are extremely excited to be hosting the 2026 AFL PREMIERSHIP CUP tomorrow, Saturday 5 September from 10am - 1pm! 🏆

As part of the "2026 Toyota AFL Premiership Cup Tour", the Cup will make its way down High St to Epping Recreational Reserve, where you can get up-close-and-personal, and have an opportunity to take a photo with the Holy Grail itself! 📸 Opportunities like this are rare, so we invite you to come down and make the most of this!

We are very grateful to the AFL for recognizing how difficult the past few months have been for us, and for trying to provide us with something wonderful to put a smile on many faces 💙

🔵⚪️ THANKS, KANE! ⚪️🔵

The Epping Football Netball Club would like to pass on its sincerest “thank you” to Kane Honan who will not be continuing in 2027.

Kane joined the Club in 2024 as the Coach of the Development team, a position he held for 3-years.

Kane gave his all and helped provide great mentorship to many players, particularly those looking to build into Senior football.

He had to endure one of the hardest things imaginable this year and the way he supported his players was second-to-none.

We sincerely thank Kane and wish him and the entire Honan family the best of luck, happiness and health moving forward.

The new Development coach will be announced in the coming days.

🔵⚪️ MEN’S DIVISION 3 TEAM OF THE YEAR 🔵⚪️

A huge congratulations to Daniel Rakhlin, who has been named in the NFNL Heidelberg golf club division 3 team of the year for 2026 👏🏼

A well deserved recognition for Daniel after a fantastic season, with his hard work and performances earning him a spot in the team of the year amongst some of the competitions best.

Congratulations Daniel, a great achievement and one the whole club can be super proud of 💙🤍

🔵⚪️ BAWDO IS BACK FOR 2027! ⚪️🔵

We are absolutely wrapped to announce that Josh “Bawdo” Bawden has recommitted to the Epping Football Netball Club for the 2027 season!💙🤍

At just 18 years of age, Bawdo is already closing in on 50 senior games for Epping— an incredible achievement and a testament to the talent, work ethic and maturity he has shown from a young age.

After spending time with the Northern Knights, Bawdo returned to Epping’s senior side and continued to take his game to another level. His ability to impact games as a centre half-forward and in the ruck makes him one of the most exciting young prospects at our Club.

More importantly, Bawdo is becoming a key pillar in the future of Epping Football Netball Club. His development, leadership and commitment to the Pingers makes him someone we see playing a huge role in where this Club is heading.

There is still so much growth to come from this young man, and we can’t wait to watch him continue to develop in the blue and white. 🔵⚪️

A massive thank you to Sue, Steve and the Bawden family for their continued support of Josh and our Club.

🔵⚪️ KIZZA IS BACK FOR 2027!⚪️🔵

We have locked away another important piece for 2027, with Kieren “Kizza” Jaksic recommitting to the Navy Blue & White! 💙🤍

After an outstanding 2026 season down back, Kizza quickly established himself as one of the competition’s most reliable defenders and Kizza would be extremely stiff to miss out on a spot in the Team of the Year.

His ability to read the game, compete in the air and lead those around him has made him an enormous asset to our side. Just as importantly, Kizza’s leadership and presence both on and off the field make him a huge part of where our club is heading.

And of course, we couldn’t have a Kizza announcement without a special shoutout to the lick 👅 Quickly becoming one of the great traditions 😂

We’re wrapped to have Kizza and the Jaksic family continuing the journey with us in 2027.

🔵⚪️ NEW SIGNING - LUCAS CHESSWAS ⚪️🔵

We are beyond excited to introduce the first of our “Next Generation 2.0” signings for 2027, Lucas Chesswas! 🔥

Lucas joins us from Kilmore where he was one of the most prominent players in the U17’s Division 1 competition, helping lead Kilmore to a preliminary final.

Lucas brings an abundance of X-factor; speed, aerial prowess and a heck of a lot of grunt. He is going to be an asset to our open age program! 💪🏼

We also welcome his dad Matt back to the Club who played at Epping in the 2000’s, along with mum Tracey, sisters Olivia & Ally and his brother Lachlan 🤗

Please join us in welcoming Lucas and the entire Chesswas family to the EFNC! 💙🤍

🔵⚪️ EPPING 5 🔵⚪️

Our Epping 5 girls took on Hurstbridge 6 in what was nothing short of a thrilling grand final!

The game finished in a draw, sending the girls into overtime! 😮‍💨🔥

Although the final result wasn’t what we had hoped for, it was still a massive achievement and an incredible effort from the girls. We couldn’t be prouder of the fight, determination and heart they showed right until the very end! 💙🤍

Hold your heads high, girls what an effort! 👏
