Coming together, growing together!

Our Inter Lyrical piece is taking shape, and it has been wonderful to see our concert leads joining the class and becoming part of the choreography.

Taking on a lead role at Elevation Dance Studios means embracing new challenges and opportunities. Throughout our concert preparations, our leads step into additional dances, work across different classes, genres and levels, and challenge themselves with new choreography and performance responsibilities.

What we love most is seeing our students rise to these challenges. They adapt, collaborate, build confidence and form new friendships with dancers they may not ordinarily share a class with.

It’s about so much more than the choreography. It’s about stepping outside your comfort zone, learning from one another and strengthening the wonderful community we are so proud of at Elevation Dance Studios.

Watching our students grow, connect and thrive together is what makes this process so special.

We asked our teachers to dance their way into the meeting.

What followed was very on brand.

These are the people who fill our studios with joy and inspiration every week. The ones who teach, encourage, create, celebrate and bring so much energy to what they do.

There is a lot of hard work behind the scenes at EDS, but there is also a lot of laughter and joyful collaboration.

And we wouldn’t have it any other way.

A little glimpse of the people who make our studio feel like our studio.

Hip Hop brings a completely different energy into the studio, and with it, a whole new set of skills.

At Elevation Dance Studios, our Hip Hop students are developing musicality, rhythm, coordination, dynamics and the ability to pick up and retain choreography. They’re learning to find their own groove, explore different textures of movement and perform with confidence and individuality.

Hip Hop encourages our dancers to take up space, make bold choices and bring their own personality to their movement.

We love providing our students with opportunities to explore different styles and seeing the confidence, versatility and performance quality that comes from challenging themselves in new ways.

So incredibly proud of our VCE Prep, Units 3 & 4 and VET Dance students who recently performed their solo works in front of a captivated audience.

Their performances were exceptional, showcasing not only their technical ability and artistry, but the thought, creativity and commitment that goes into developing their own work.

What made the afternoon even more special was hearing our students speak about their process. They offered our younger dancers a wonderful insight into what VCE and VET Dance looks like, from developing an idea and creating movement, to refining choreography and ultimately bringing a solo to the stage.

Such a wonderful celebration of dance education, creativity and the journey our students can take as they continue to grow.

We are incredibly proud of you all.
