This week we seen lots of Magic teams in finals we seen some wins and some losses.
On Monday night we seen U12 Girls Magic 1 finish in 4th place and play a semi against Celtics unfortunately the girls went down by 5 points in the end and are now out of finals.
U12 Girls Magic 2 finished in 2nd place and played Pistons, the girls had a tough game and went down 22 to 10, they get the 2nd chance and play Celtics next week in the Prelim Final.
U16 boys div 1 finished top on the ladder, we seen Magic v Pistons, the boys went down by 3 points in a close game and will play again next week in the Prelim Final against Lakers.
U16 Girls finished 3rd on the ladder and played against Celtics the girls had an awesome team game and won 43 to 7, they play again next week in the Prelim Final against Pistons.
On Tuesday night we seen U14 girls finish in 4th place and play against Lakers they unfortunately went down 41 to 29, they are now out of finals.
U14 Boys Div 1 finished top on the ladder and took on Pistons they had a win of 57 to 42 and go straight through to the grand final.
U14 Boys Div 2 took on Pistons in a extremely close game in the end with magic winning by 1 point in the dying second of the game, they play in a prelim final next week against Celtics, they finished 3rd on the ladder.
Div 3 women finished 3rd on the ladder and took on Pistons in the semi final they had a close game also and won by 1 point on the buzzer thanks to a 3 pointer by Jadie Barnes.
Div 4 women finished top of the ladder after only winning 2 games last season, the ladies looked off from the start but come together with some great team lay and beat Celtic 27 to 17 and go straight through to the grand final.
Wednesday night we had div 5 men take on the young boys from Lakers, the old boys were solid up all game and won 41 to 19 after finishing in 2nd place on the ladder.
Div 1 women finished in 2nd place the girls played well just up after the 1st and 2nd quarters but went down in the 3rd and 4th quarters to lose by 1 point in the end, impressive shooting by Amy Kerr hitting 5 three-pointers in the game. The ladies take on Lakers next week in the prelim final.
Div 1 men finished top of the ladder, they had a rough tough game up against Lakers and in the end lost by 12 points, next week they take on Saints in the prelim final.
Thursday night we seen our U12 Boys finished 3rd on the ladder, we had a young small inexperienced team this season, the boys did so well to make the finals. The boys lost against Celtics tonight 38 to 29.
Div 4 Men finished in 2nd place on the ladder and took on Pistons ‘1’ in the semi-final, they lost 30 to 26 and will play again next week in the prelim final against Pistons ‘2’.
Div 3 Men finished 4th out of 4 teams, these boys had a very tough season and only won 2 games this season and they were both in the last few weeks. The boys come out firing from the start and looked the better team. They beat saints 38 to 31, next week they take on Pistons ‘1’ in the prelim final.
