Quamby Golf Club Picturesque 9 hole course situated just 30 minutes from Launceston Quamby’s golf course is a rare gem on the Tasmanian golf circuit.

Constructed in the early 1990’s, this beautiful course is positioned on a high elevation with magnificent views to Ben Lomond in the East and the Great Western Tiers to the South. Fairways are lined by large mature trees planted in rows with garden avenues, hedgerows, watercourses, lakes and ponds. This picture-book landscape offers a challenging and entertaining experience for golfers of varied ability and experience. Twice round, Australia’s best 9-hole course is 6006 metres and commands a par 74. Quamby golf course features 9 lakes, cascades, creeks and challenging ‘Scottish’ bunkers beautifully groomed from specially refined Scottsdale sands. The Georgian Club House was built in the 1850’s as original Estate Manager’s office. Complemented by an adjoining bar and function centre it offers a perfect setting to enjoy a refreshment after a round of golf. Australia’s Number One golfing magazine, Australian Golf Digest recently praised Quamby Estate’s Golf Course:

🏌️‍♂️ Stableford Comp Results - A Tight Battle All Round! 🏌️‍♂️

What a day on the course! With scoring conditions proving favourable, the competition was incredibly close, with more than half the field finishing within just 3 points of the winner.

A huge congratulations to Ross L for taking out the win, but with Ian B, Rob A and Dale P all just one point behind, and the remaining top six only a further point or two back, every shot counted.

These are the days that remind us how competitive club golf can be. One extra putt holed or one less mistake can be the difference between lifting the trophy and chasing the pack.

Just a notice to all golfers, tomorrow Monday 28th, from 9am all fairways and tees beds will be sprayed for broadleaf weeds.

So if you were thinking of having a hit, don't lick your balls and might be best to wait until after lunchtime.

Saturday 26th Competition

Yes its grand final day, but we can also play golf ⛳️⛳️⛳️⛳️

Comp will be a 18 hole stableford, off the red & yellow tees, tee off from 0830.

Local rules update, lift wipe and place will no longer be in play.

However, local rule up the 6th will still apply until further notice.

🏅 September Monthly Medal - This Saturday! 🏅

After being postponed on the 5th due to the weather, the September Monthly Medal has been rescheduled and will now be played this Saturday.

With only four Monthly Medals remaining in 2026, now is a great opportunity to get your hands on the highly sought-after medal and make your move up the rankings.

For members who haven't played a Monthly Medal before, this is a stroke event, meaning every shot counts from the first tee to the final putt. We'll also be running our Least Putts Competition, with a separate prize awarded to the player who records the fewest putts for the day.

With spring now upon us and the days getting longer, we anticipate teeing off from 8:30am.

We look forward to seeing a strong field on Saturday. Good luck to everyone competing! ⛳🏌️‍♂️

⛳ "Next Best Thing" Stableford Results ⛳

Normally, 38 points is enough to get the job done, but not this week! A countback was required to separate the top two players after both finished with an outstanding 38 points.

🏆 Congratulations to Lovey, who claimed the win on countback from Stephen H in a tightly contested finish.

🥉 Third place went to Rob Alsop with a solid 32 points.

⛳ Saturday "Next Best Thing" Stableford ⛳

After last weekend's Monthly Medal was postponed due to the weather, our weekly Stableford competition returns this Saturday.

The Monthly Medal will be rescheduled at a later date, but for now it's time to put your handicap to the test. With the rough getting thicker as we move through spring, accuracy could prove just as important as distance!

Whether you're chasing a personal best, looking to trim a few shots off your handicap, or simply keen to enjoy a great day on the course, we'd love to see you there.
