RATE INCREASE
As of the 5th of November, our rates will increase by roughly 10%- we will make a post on the 5th with the exact numbers.

This has been brought on by feed & hay costs that are continuing to rise, as well as fuel and the ongoing costs to provide the standard of care that we like to provide our horses with.

For those not already aware, our horses are provided with top quality hard feeds 2-3 times daily, top quality hay 24/7 and regular bodywork, as well as their usual vet & farrier costs.

Running a business with horses is an expensive endeavour!

I have always made an effort to keep our prices affordable, and I believe that even with the rate update, we will still fall within that range.

So if you've been wanting to book in, now is the time to do it before our prices increase in a week's time!

As always, your support and encouragement mean the world to our team ❤️🐴

Meet Sampson ❤️
Sampson came to us last week after he was advertised on Facebook for free. A beautiful young lady picked him up to give him a soft landing, but unfortunately her own horse didn't like his new friend.

So she reached out to us to see if we could take him on- and of course we said yes!!

He is a 7 year old standardbred gelding.

He has obviously had quite a hard life up to this point, so we are focusing on feeding him up with some light groundwork and hand walking to keep him moving.
He has an absolutely beautiful temperament with a lovely soft nature. We have already seen him perk up and start showing a bit of his personality off, which is absolutely incredible to see.

There is no pressure for this beautiful boy anymore. He will be fed up, his teeth will be done, and he will be treated for stomach ulcers before we even think about getting a saddle on him.
There's absolutely no rush, no timeline for this. It'll take as long as it takes to get weight back on and to get him feeling 100%.
And if he never wants to be ridden- that's fine too! He can be a babysitter and paddock puff.

We are so glad that we're able to provide an environment where horses in bad situations can come to us for rehabilitation and recovery.

We can only do this with your support, so a massive thank you to all of our riders making bookings for lessons, trail rides and clinics.

A huge THANK YOU to all of our fantastic riders who have put up with cancellations & rescheduling due to weather recently!!

We have had an insane amount of rain over the past week, as has everyone on the coast! I'm very glad that some of the drier areas in QLD were able to get some well needed rain- always a silver lining.

We have new road base in for our parking area & driveway, which provides us with much more flexibility in wet weather. This means less cancellations in future- yay!!

The good news is that our trails at the new property have held up really well, which is great.

Our next project will be a proper sand arena and round yard, watch this space!

The horses are doing well despite the weather, they have been getting extra feed & hay as well as rugging when needed.

SCHOOLMASTER/S WANTED!!

With the loss of our beloved Poco, we have a spot or two in our paddocks for some older schoolmasters.
We would prefer a lease, but will look at a purchase for the right horse.
Owners are always welcome to come and visit, and can participate in trail rides or lessons free of charge as part of the lease agreement.

Our ideal horses would be-
On the older side or exceptionally quiet for a young horse
More woah than go
Uncomplicated to ride, not super sharp off the leg
Any height above 14hh
Any breed, no preference on mares or geldings
Must be tolerant of beginner riders, would only be used for walk/trot lessons with a bit of canter every now & then. Maximum one lesson a day, 5 days a week

Our horses want for nothing, hard feeding 2-3 times a day with top quality feeds & supplements, hay 24/7, bodywork fortnightly and vet & farrier work as needed.

Most live in a herd environment, with smaller private paddocks available.

Send us a message or text us on 0480414091 if you have any golden oldies sitting in the back paddock who wouldn't mind doing some lessons

Please be respectful when you see horses on the road! Slow down for 30 seconds, enjoy seeing people getting out & about and enjoying the beautiful country that we live in, and pass wide & slow.

🤠 We're not horsing around when we say the road is there to be shared 🐎

Horses are allowed on many NSW roads, so don't "stirrup" trouble when you come across one:

🐎 Rein in your speed and give them plenty of room

🐎 Stop if the rider is having difficulty with their horse

🐎 Never use your horn or rev your engine

We are lucky enough to share our property & trails with some absolutely stunning wildlife!
For wildlife nerds like me, it is an absolute dream to be able to work and live alongside these beautiful creatures 🐍🐦🦎

Book a ride with us for a chance to spot these guys on horseback!!

Honorable mention to all of the bird life- we see SO MANY different species of birds!! Our egrets, crows, magpies, butcher birds, parrots, and birds of prey don't make an appearance here, but they are beautiful to watch.
