The netball community is one big family and when we hear that someone in our community has been dealt a devastating blow, it's important we all pull together to help. To Sharni from MWNC - Maryland Wallsend Netball Club we stand beside you and you have our support ❤️🤍

Maryland Wallsend Netball Club is hosting a fundraiser 'Shine for Sharni- High Tea'
We invite you to join us.

We want to inform you about one of our amazing coaches- Sharni.
She is also a player, coach and a committee member.
She has been a part of our club for many years.
Sharni started learning the game of netball at 4 years old.
This year, Sharni who is in her early thirties was diagnosed with Genetic ALS, or Motor Neurone Disease
She is currently having treatment.

We invite family, friends, the wider community and the netball community to join us.

💳 Payment is to be made directly to Wallsend Diggers

We are hosting this fundraising event to help with medical expenses, and to create memories with her family.
It is an opportunity for our community to come together and surround one of our own, Sharni, and her beautiful family with love, strength and support as she faces her battle with Motor Neurone Disease.

She volunteers her time to coach, and this year been on our committee supporting fundraising for our club and updating our social media. (She is amazing in these roles).
MND may have changed Sharni’s journey, but it will never change the person she is, the lives she has touched or the place she holds within our netball family.

Shine for Sharni is about filling a room with the people who care about her and creating an afternoon she and her family can hold onto forever.

We are also seeking raffle prizes/donations. If you or your family can contribute with a donation/raffle prize or know someone that owns a business or works at a business that could contribute, please let us know. (I can forward a donation request letter)

Calling all netball fanatics who are keen to trial for KSNC's U17 and U21 Division 1 teams for 2027 🧡

Teams will be selected this year, but we promise training won't start until the New Year ;)

Congratulations to our U13 Division 2 winners, the Rockets on their grand final win yesterday. Starting the season as a relatively new team, they have grown individually and as a team. Thank you Nova Netball Club Stars for putting up a good fight until the final whistle.

Unfortunately our U17 Division 1 Pumas didn't come away with the win. It can be heartbreaking to lose a grand final, but never lose sight of the fact that you made it! Well done to Hydra Stars Netball for a great contest 👏

And Team White, KSNC representing, great work Ash, Azalee, Brooke, Emily & Lara!

And a MASSIVE thank you to all the players from Vipers, Strikers, Fireflies, Leopards, and Fury for showing your support to our teams. You are all amazing and really appreciated you being there 🧡
