Race report from Launceston Kart Club's KA3 cup and Bec Wyatt memorial.
Qualifying - P1 and new lap record of 35.203
Heat 1 - Started P1 finished P1 and fastest lap.
Heat 2 - Started P1 finished P1 and fastest lap.
Heat 3 - Started P1 finished P1 and fastest lap.
Final - Started P1 finished P1 and fastest lap.
Very proud to take home the KA3 Cup and set new lap record in Junior light in a very competitive field.
Then we had the Prelude to Bec Wyatt memorial, this was a 21 lap race with combined class Junior light and heavy. This race means a lot to us and the karting family so this was the race we wanted to win more than anything.
Grid was set by finishing points from the day with P1 to P8 being reversed and P9 to P16 being reversed. so, I started in P7 having won all the races over the day.
Got a great start moving up two spots on lap 1, picked up one spot on lap 2, by lap 6 moved up to P2, setting a new lap record for junior championship on lap 4 then by lap 9 was in P1 and was gone slowly increasing my gap over the field to win the race by 2.7 seconds.
Had an amazing weekend taking home the KA3 cup in Junior light, Bec Wyatt prelude race and two class lap records.
Well done Noah and Casper Anderson #74 on your podiums in both races was great battling with you guys over the weekend.
Also congrats to Elenah Rankin Karting for her win in the KA3 junior heavy class and Baylin Pease on this win in KA3 senior light & Bec Wyatt memorial and his lap records.
next race for me is at Eastern Lions Kart Club for the Junior sprint can't wait for that.
Thanks to Ben Cunningham from Focused On Photos for the photos.

Double race reports from North Western Kart Club two weeks ago and Circular Head Kart Club weekend just gone.
First we had Junior feature at Highclere.
Qualified P2
Clean sweep winning Heats 1, 2, 3 and the final.
This weekend went to SUNNY ☀️ Smithton.
No qualifying this race random grid.
Heat 1 - started in P5 unfortunately Harry had dnf due to someone at rear of the grid trying to win it on first corner and taking out half the field, the joys of random grids.
Heat 2 - started P8 got a good start and work way up over race finishing in P3 and fastest on track.
Heat 3 - started P1 got good start and stay in front to win. Also got fastest lap but this time something you don’t see often Harry and Casper had identical fastest times.
Final - started p4 got awesome start and got the elbows out to end up in P2 after first few corners. Chipped away and put pressure on leader and took the lead with 7 laps to go. Was a great win and very tight racing at the front.
Next race in two weeks at Launceston Kart Club for KA3 cup and Bec Wyatt memorial.
Massive thanks to the sponsors
