#NERC was established 1899 when James Boag became the club’s first President. Today we cater for beginner, junior, experienced & disabled rowers.

The original building erected in 1902 was partly burnt down towards the end of the Second World War and what was left was used as a boatshed until 1964. Membership at that time is estimated to have been around 20. In 1965 the club purchased a 20 year-old steel workshop used in the construction of the Trevallyn Power Station for use as clubrooms.
