It may have been a chilly night to stand out and open the green, but it was great to see plenty of people out enjoying the club facilities and a meal from our fabulous Tigers Bistro Longford team.

Here's to a great season, we can't wait to see you on the green 🐯🐯

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our dear life member, George Shaw.

George was a wonderful person, a dedicated club member, and a familiar, welcoming face who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He is now peacefully reunited with his beloved wife and fellow life member, Joyce.

Together, George and Joyce gave so much of themselves to our community. Their years of service, time, and unwavering commitment helped shape the club we love today. Because of George's health at the time of Joyce's passing, they were unable to hold a service for her then, making this combined farewell especially meaningful.

A private funeral will be held for George next Thursday. Following that, we will be holding a joint celebration of life for both George and Joyce next Friday afternoon at the club to celebrate their incredible lives and shared legacy.

We are forever grateful for everything they gave us. Rest in peace, George.

Edit: memorial service on Friday 25th September, 1pm - 3pm at the Longford Bowls & Community Club

Wow what a weekend the club has had!

The Makers Market was a HUGE success with many asking when the next one is, stayed tuned we are working on it 🎄

State Juniors came along and trained hard putting some of our pennant players through their paces in preparation for the Bowls Australia Junior National Championships that are being held in Western Australia in just a few weeks. Good luck Juniors 💪🏼

Then on Sunday we had the BPL Cup Regional Finals where there were 10 teams battling to get the three spots for the state finals to be held in a couple of weeks. We are VERY excited to have our own team of Craig and Fletcher Felmingham, and Josh Appleyard who filled in for Mark Strochnetter through to the finals!!! Great job team, the only team from Bowls North to get through to the finals, not only doing yourselves proud but the club and the North proud too.

Thank you to our sensational volunteers who make events like this possible and to our kitchen team who've worked super hard over the two days.
