Your past can explain you.

It can shape you.

It can leave scars.

But it does not get to decide who you become next.

There was a time when my life was defined by survival.

Today it is defined by freedom, family, business, purpose, leadership and possibility.

That transformation didn’t happen because life suddenly became easy.

It happened because eventually I decided that rock bottom wasn’t going to be where my story ended.

It was where I rebuilt it.

That is the message I carry onto every stage:

You are allowed to reinvent yourself.

You are allowed to outgrow the life you thought you were stuck with.

You are allowed to start again.

And sometimes starting again creates something far greater than anything you had before.

That’s the conversation I want to have with your audience.

Something I feel incredibly strongly about:

You do not need to have your entire life perfectly sorted before you are capable of leading.

I built teams while rebuilding myself.

Made decisions while carrying enormous stress.

Led businesses while privately fighting battles most people knew nothing about.

Leadership does not require perfection.

It requires:

self-awareness,

responsibility,

courage,

communication,

and the willingness to keep growing.

You can be healing and powerful.

You can carry scars and lead incredibly well.

Both things can exist at once.

I don’t speak from a textbook.

I speak from living it.

I speak about resilience because I’ve had to find it when life gave me absolutely no other option.

I speak about business because I built one from a kitchen table with no safety net and turned it into an award-winning operation.

I speak about sales because I’ve spent more than 20 years learning that people don’t want to be sold to — they want to feel understood.

I speak about leadership because I’ve led teams while navigating some of the hardest years of my life.

And I speak about domestic violence because I know exactly what it feels like to lose yourself, leave, survive, rebuild and finally realise:

I’m fking free.

I don’t want people walking out of one of my sessions thinking, “That was inspiring.”

I want them walking out thinking:

“Right. What am I going to do differently now?”

That’s the difference.

I Was Told I'd Never Make It.
