We were saddened to learn of the passing of our much-loved Life Member, Arthur Garratt, known to many as "Arty."
Arty was a humble man whose legacy at Heathmont will be remembered for years to come. He and the Garratt family were significant contributors to our club for many years. Arty served in numerous roles, including player, premiership captain, committee member, net captain, barman, chairman of selectors, 1st XI scorer, bus driver for cricket trips. He also served as Club President during the 1996-97 season. An on-field highlight for Arty was playing alongside his son, Matt and he remained a loyal supporter of Matt's cricketing journey at Heathmont and throughout his coaching career.
Our deepest condolences go out to his loving wife Liz, his children Matt and Renee, and the extended Garratt family. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by many current and past members.
Rest in Peace, Arty.

Three flags? Of course weβre still smiling!
Last night our wonderful ECA and EGWC community celebrated the 2025-26 season with a brilliant event at Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club. It was a packed house as our host (and The Deeners legend) Daniel Harford expertly guided us through the formalities with his trademark charm and good humour. The room was literally buzzing all night as players and umpires accepted their well-deserved awards for their respective 2025-26 achievements. Well done to ECA GM Peter Simpson and the Executive for providing the perfect setting for everyone to unwind and enjoy each other's company for another great season just had. More to come. This photo: The Heathmont Cricket crew (and one notable interloper) were all smiles with their three flags! @ Chris Mirabella 2026.

The Week That Was.
A weekend that will be remembered for a long time across the club.
π 1st XI Premiers
π 3rd XI Premiers
π U16 Premiers
π Women β our first ever womenβs premiership
π₯ Vets β a fantastic campaign, falling just short in the Grand Final
Four teams finishing the job, and another that gave everything right to the final ball.
From early season work to finals pressure, itβs a reflection of the effort put in right across the club β players, coaches, volunteers and supporters.
A special mention to our womenβs side, bringing home a historic first flag for the club. ππ
