Round 2 of the Australian Formula Powerboat Grand Prix at Albury saw testing conditions for racing.

With a new set up and a few gremlins and no power steering we managed a 3rd place in qualifying and a P2 in heat 1.

With no reverse grid race and straight to the final race on Sunday, starting out of pole 3, Chilly was able to maintain a 4th place for most of the race and a fantastic battle with Paul Sain

At the end a solid 6th place finish and some good points for the series.

Congratulations to Ewan Bricker Bricker Racing Greg Banks Final Feature and Kye Cornell 117 Motorsport

Thanks to Middy's Electrical for their support

Thanks Rob, Chris, Darren, Gayle, Jess, Robin and Don for their help to make it happen.

Time to get things sorted and ready for round 3 in April.

Round one wrap up of the Australian Formula Powerboat Grand Prix at Rathmines.

The team arrived on the friday and discovered a few issues. Once resolved and everything appeared to be working as it should be thanks to Caleb and Joel Smith.

Race day arrived and all very excited, with a few more checks it was discovered that power steering ecu had stopped working. With no replacement, the day still had to go on, with practice, qualifying and race one in the afternoon.

Whilst being a little uncomfortable Chilly qualified in 6th place.

Race one and running comfortably in p3 and two laps to go the boat came to a stop. Whilst fearing we had lunched an engine, luckily the cause being a battery expiring which had been playing up from the previous day.

The team went to work pulling out the power steering ecu with a replacement on its way from Sydney. Thanks to With the battery replaced and final checks being done we found the gear box had some major issues pretty much taking us out for the weekend.

A massive thanks to Paul Sain who loaned his spare putting us back in for the next days racing.

Day two saw the ecu go in and power steering back.

Race 2 saw Chilly finish in P3 and everything running as it should .

The final race saw Chilly in pole 10. With a great start found himself in p5 battling with Kye Cornell and Stephen Gilligan.
At the end and with a fantastic result finished in p4.

Thanks to for their support

Don McClymont for all his hard work getting us ready

Caleb Frost for his massive efforts over the weekend keeping the boat on the water.

Joel Smith, Dean Alison Paul Sain for their help and generosity which was enormous. Thanks you.

Peter , Mark and all the VOC crew for their time and support.

Bring on next round 💪
