13 in a row vs the Giants at the Linc?
Undefeated in Kelly Green?
No problems.
This is what we wanted... and NEEDED to see.
Embarrassed last time, without Jurgens and AJ we were taking on the rookies again. Giants started shorthanded in the secondary and only got worse for them.
It started in the right way with 65 yards to the house for Barkley and kept going. Key "get right" stats for the day:
-4 TDs, No TOs for hurts... Just efficient.
-150 on the ground and 2 total TDs for Saquon... rumours of his demise and all that.
-It wasn't just Saquon, Bigsby with 104 on the ground. After being dominated the first match-up, the OLine weren't fken around!
-2 more TDs for Goedert who's already surpassing his best TD year.
-Smitty having a cracking year!
-That last TD catch from Dotson. My goodness!!
-After the scrambling of Dart shredding the DLine last time, they had their best outing of the year with 5 sacks. Carter being back helped.
-Patullo looked to call a good game. Screens worked. Kept them guessing with a solid amount under centre.
For the Giants, some horrible luck with a vicious injury to Skattebo.
They also have some valid reason to complain as the reffing was dogs**t, and they seemed to get the worst of it.
The correct team won, but you could reasonably be dirty regarding the T**h Push fumble and Mailata's false start that ended up a D Penalty.
Good vibes going into the Bye, looking for Jurgens and AJ back, while Saquon seemed to tweak his groin so the rest will server him well.
We getting secondary help before the Trade Deadline or what?
Kelly Green remains UNDEFEATED

A sign the DLine needs helps, but bring on the BG vibes and passion!
If he's hungry enough to play, these boys can be hungry enough to start kicking the s**t outta people!

OUT OF RETIREMENT HE COMES! We've agreed to terms with DE Brandon Graham. Bring on Season 16 π

Well I've gone AWOL for a couple of weeks with some life stuff, but even I wasn't as absent as the Eagles on both sides of the ball.
Full credit to the Giants, they came with energy and ready to take it to their division rival. But lets be honest we played a rookie QB who was down his top 2 WRs, and our top flight WRs were playing a secondary giving up some of the most yards in the leagues.
I don't really have much positive to take away:
-Our D Line couldn't get home. Dart was able to scramble and manoeuvrer his way out of trouble and to the yards he needed time after time.
-The Eagles pride themselves on tough guy football, but were run over by Skattebo
-The OLine looks tired and battered as. Mailata has made comment previously on how tough that 2000 yard season and SB run was on their bodies with the OLine feeling aches and pains until OTAs. They look worn down and out of sync.
-Jalen made some nice throws, but also missed a home run to Smitty. He was generally efficient but his first INT in 200 something attempts ruin any chance of a comeback.
-Missing Carter hurt. Missing Mitchell hurt. Missing Dickerson hurt.
-We really need to sort out that starting CB opposite Mitchell before its too late.
Last year it took 2-2, some soulsearching meetings and a Bye to get the ship right. Does anyone see that on the horizon this year? Coz I can't.
The talent doesn't match the urgency we're playing with, but now we have 9 days to get our s**t together before we run into the Vikes.
On to the next one!

What an absolutely ridiculous game!
Coming into this week I was concerned about Adams and Puka vs whoever we have opposite Mitchell. I was also concerned about how stagnant we had looked on O with teams focussed on taking away Saquon. Our receivers have been invisible and Hurts hadn't run a designed run, but we'd done enough...
The first half (and a little into the 3rd) realised these fears as the O brought back my PTSD from the Brian Johnson gameplans two years ago.
-Saquon couldn't find room.
-Playcalling was conservative at best.
-Lane went down early and Matt Pryor was punished by Verse, which included the brutal strip-sack at the start of the 3rd.
-D was always on the field with the O's constant 3 and outs, but kept us in the game by holding them to FGs.
Then it changed. Down 19, Patullo realised he has a second side to his playsheet and has an angry guy in AJ Brown.
-Pryor was replaced by Fred Johnson (Welcome back Fred!) and the line settled.
-AJ went off... first TD of the season. First 100 yard game all in the second half. The man was possessed and took it out on the Rams DBs.
-Jalen used his legs, Saquon found a little room, Dallas found the seam and Smitty caught everything thrown his way.
Even with all of that we had a 1 point lead, and left 2 minutes for Stafford to get into FG range. I was comfortable with the loss, but that the O woke up for the first time this year...
Enter Jordan Davis. The block, the scoop and score and the WIN!
Jordan Davis, was clearly the MVP with a chase down of Stafford (sack), the stop on 4th down, the Special Teams block and the score. HUGE!
Fingers crossed Patullo trusts his players and calls a more aggressive game moving forward so we don't keep relying on Vic and the Crew. We're too talented on O to be playing like we have been.
WHAT A COMEBACK

2 and Ohhhhh....
That was an absolute grind! Proper heavyweight battle with neither team seeming to get much going on offense due to smothering play on D.
Mahomes finished with 187 yards in the air but when you consider that 49 yards came from a single desperation play down 10 in the 4th, that is an amazing game by the secondary.
What a game called by Fangio. Sure they were without their two speedsters, but this is the Chiefs! Mr Never Blitz dialled up the pressure and caught them off guard.
Not many splash plays by Saquon but still managed to eek out 88 on the ground.
Again not huge days for the receivers but Smitty came up with the huge catch one-on-one as we worked to put the game away, and AJs sticky hands worked when needed.
Za'Darius Smith had a decent impact for his first game and the Rookie Mukuba announced himself on the blitz with a half sack and the interception on the game's only takeaway.
I hope they're not all 3 point games, but we've shown we can win tough.
Next week another Play Off Match-up as we have the Rams coming to the Linc.
Sidenote - What the hell was that Dallas/NYG Game? Can't believe the Boys nearly lost that, and can't believe the Giants let that slip away!

Starting where we belong... in the win column!
Cowboys fans must be stoked they got rid of Micah to "stop the run" allowing just 158, which to be fair was 20 yards below our 2024 average.
Tough day for the D really with Dak showing his elusiveness, but you can't help but think Carter would have closed down a couple of those plays.
The secondary has a problem opposite Mitchell, and will get picked on. That said there were a coupla "almost picks" they'd love to have back.
Weird night for the receivers as AJ and Smitty combined for 24 yards but some nice play by Dotson.
CeeDee was having his way for patches there but those two drops (one defenced) cost them though both would have required a special effort.
Not the biggest game from Saquon but showed some ridiculous moves, and Hurts continued where he left off in the SB. Efficient, elusive and making smart decisions.
Now we get to enjoy the rest of the weekend, before preparing for the SB rematch... where the Chiefs will face AJ and Carter out for blood after doing not much this week.
How βbout dem Birds?
