A calorie deficit:
occurs when you consume fewer calories than your body needs to maintain its current weight. This deficit forces your body to use stored energy (mainly from fat) to meet its energy demands, resulting in weight loss.
Here are 2 main reasons on why it helps you lose fat ⬇️

Fat Utilization: To make up for the energy deficit, your body starts using stored fat as a source of energy.

Weight Loss: Over time, this continuous calorie deficit leads to a reduction in body fat, resulting in weight loss.

It's important that we create a sustainable calorie deficit that is not too extreme, as very low-calorie diets can be unhealthy and difficult to maintain.
A moderate calorie deficit, combined with a balanced diet and regular exercise, is a more sustainable and healthy approach to losing weight.

WE ARE HIRING!

We are on the look out for a passionate individual to join us at Ignite through a mangers role!
This will include running and structuring our classes as well as helping out with promotion ideas, workout ideas and much more!

If you are looking to be move involved in the fitness industry then this is for you!

▪️Must have cert 3/4 in fitness
▪️Must have experience in the fitness industry (preferably group training/PT sessions)
▪️Must be available to work early mornings and nights and possible Saturday mornings
▪️Must have a first aid/ cpr certificate
▪️30$- 45$ per hour (depending on experience and qualifications)
▪️Casual position available ($25-35 hours per week)

GET TO KNOW YOUR OWNER/ HEAD TRAINER, CHRIS 👋

For those of you who didn’t know, Chris is the Founder/Owner and head trainer at Ignite Fitness Club!

Background: Chris finished his cert 3/4 in fitness back in 2015. He is also studying a Bachelor of physical education and health Science at ACU.

Sport: Football and basketball. Chris has been playing football since Aus kick and is currently playing for hurstbridge in the NFNL. He also played rep level basketball at diamond valley eagles when he was younger and still plays open age basketball during the week.

Hobbies: Chris loves to hit the gym and socialise with friends on the weekends, his passion and main hobby is football where he trains 2x a week and plays on weekends.

Chris is bubbly, friendly and easy going in his lifestyle but knows how to get the best out of his clients and members in the gym! If you are after someone like this as your head trainer then look no further then here at Ignite!

MEET ANTONIA (Toni)

As some of you already know Toni will be jumping on board as one of our new trainers to Ignite! Taking classes and helping out!

Background: Toni graduated from a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science in 2022, also completed a Cert 4 in Allied Health Assistance.

Sport: Dancing 💃🏼 Toni has been dancing for 17 years and is a part of a hip hop crew competing in dance comps.

Hobbies: Toni loves going to the gym and meditating!

NEW STRENGTH BLOCK!

We have recently been hitting some good, heavy lifts in our Strength classes moving from 8 reps down to 5 reps per exercise!

Our new Strength block will see us hitting more consistent reps of 8-10 reps aiming for muscle hypertrophy!

Come on down to our Strength sessions every Monday, Wednesday, Friday to get a taste of our new training block!
