Most people think altitude training is about going harder.

It’s not.

It’s about creating adaptation.

In simulated altitude there is less oxygen available, which means your body has to work smarter to:

• deliver oxygen
• recover between efforts
• control breathing under fatigue
• perform under stress

That’s why we track SPO2 levels inside the studio.

At sea level, oxygen saturation typically sits around 96–100%.

Inside a controlled hypoxic environment, it is normal for SPO2 to temporarily drop below 90% as the body adapts to lower oxygen availability.

This is called hypoxic stimulus.

Research around hypoxic training shows the right range can support:
✔ aerobic fitness
✔ endurance
✔ breathing efficiency
✔ recovery adaptations
✔ body composition goals
✔ performance under fatigue

If you’ve ever trained at 4:45am, you’ve definitely heard Terri before you’ve seen her, bringing the energy and keeping those early morning sessions lively 😂

Terri shows up day in and day out with a mindset that no matter what obstacles come her way, even injuries, she never lets anything stop her from getting in the way and putting in the work. She adapts, pushes through and continues to show incredible consistency and determination.

Huge milestone and a great reflection of the consistency she brings every time she walks in.

Give her a target or a challenge and she’s all in, determined, focused, and always ready to push herself a little further. She sets a strong pace, but she’s just as committed to helping others get the best out of themselves too, offering that extra bit of encouragement to those around her.

Not only does she show up for herself, but for her husband and daughter who train alongside her. She is a great role model and inspiration!
