Did you know deadlifts are actually a lower body exercise?

"Push! Dont pull" is our fav deadlift cue!

The main movement of a deadlift is leg drive!
Think:

1. Create tension in your entire body first, shoulder blades "in your back pockets" "lats on"
2. Take the slack out of the bar
3. Drive through your legs and hold onto the bar for dear life!

Deadlifts are great for leg development and overall strength.

Here are some easy no cook supermarket options, that only require a microwave and some takeaway options.

Yes, its true you can eat Maccas sometimes and still stay on track with your goals!

Bringing your food is always the best option but life happens girl, I get it!

Its 3pm and you have done 2k steps...🙃

Office workers this one is for you!

Chained to a desk all day makes it really tough to get your steps in, I get it BUT it can be done.
I used to work a full time desk job and still managed 10k steps everyday - how?

Get creative!

- Emails while on your walking pad or marching on the spot
- Take phone calls while pacing around
- Take the long way back to your desk, to the toilet, back to your car
- 10 min blocks throughout the day WILL get you there

It can be done ladies, doesnt have to be 10k but about a 2k consistent increase to what your already doing over a few weeks will make a difference to your fat loss/body composition goals.

Although a guide of how much we could achieve in a given time frame is always advised, basing the entire success of a clients journey around scale weight only is the fasted way to disheartened clients.

Many factors come into play with a fat loss journey and scale weight is just one of them.

A lot of my clients will achieve their body composition goals, feel amazing, look amazing in their clothes, stronger in the gym and still be KGs off their ‘target scale weight’.

If you have started a fat loss journey and your coach is pushing your scale weight or your obsessing over it - remember to get on these measures of success too 👇

So many misconceptions still getting around and self doubt around busy women especially mums getting into shape.

Understand the basics.
Don’t over complicate it.
Train hard.
Build AS MUCH MUSCLE AS POSSIBLE (trust me you won’t look bulky, and if you do tell me how you did it cos I been trying to get jacked for 14+ đŸ«Ł - we are female we don’t bulk we build lean muscle. If you feel ‘bulky’ it’s fat girl and we can reduce that!)

And be patient, enjoy the process - fitness is a forever journey and we MUST set a good example for our kids đŸ©·đŸ©”
