At Zoe Vorenas Dressage, we have a real soft spot for our golden oldies.
While everyone loves talking about young horses and future stars, there’s something incredibly special about the horses who have spent years teaching, giving, and looking after their riders. They deserve nothing less than the very best in return.
The reason our older horses continue to look fantastic, perform happily, and genuinely enjoy their work comes down to meticulous care. From tailored feeding programs and regular veterinary, dental and farrier care, to careful workload management, saddle fitting, bodywork, and plenty of downtime, every detail matters.
These horses have given so much throughout their lives, and we’re incredibly proud to provide the standard of care that keeps them healthy, comfortable, and thriving. Watching them still march into the arena with their ears pricked, ready, is something we never take for granted.

One thing ZVD is especially proud of is the quality of the horses clients learn on.
These aren’t just nice horses… they’re educated, safe, experienced horses that genuinely teach riders confidence, feel, timing and correct riding.
Many have competed through the levels and helped riders progress from their very first lesson through to advanced work. Whether someone is returning after years away, starting as a beginner, or learning advanced movements, having the right horse makes all the difference.

The Beginner Adult Program
Have you always dreamed of learning to ride… but never knew where to start?
At ZVD, our Beginner Adult Rider Program has been designed specifically for adults with little to no horse experience who are wanting a calm, supportive and confidence-building introduction to horses and riding.
Our structured 6 week program is designed to help riders feel comfortable not only in the saddle, but around horses in general. We focus on creating a welcoming, professional and relaxed environment where adults can learn at their own pace with supportive coaching and beautiful educated horses.
Located at our stunning Beaumont Park property in the beautiful Yarra Valley region of Lilydale, riders can enjoy learning in a calm and picturesque environment surrounded by rolling hills, quality facilities and a relaxed atmosphere designed specifically for adult riders.
Our riders learn on experienced schoolmaster horses who are specifically selected for their quiet temperaments, education and ability to help riders feel safe and supported. These horses have spent years teaching riders from beginner through to advanced levels and are an incredibly important part of the ZVD experience.
Our program includes:
• Horse handling & safety
• Grooming & horse care
• Learning the basics of riding
• Understanding horse behaviour
• Calm, educated schoolmaster horses
• Private adult focused coaching
• Building confidence at your own pace
No experience required.
No judgement.

Whether horses have been a lifelong dream, or you’re simply looking for something new and exciting to challenge yourself with, we’d love to welcome you to Beaumont Park.

We’ve absolutely been soaking up this run of beautiful weather ☀️ and it’s definitely showing in the vibe around the place… busy, happy horses, and a really nice energy across the week.
With things ticking along so well, we’ve opened up more midweek availability, including evening sessions for those who can’t make it during the day. Whether you’re trying to stay consistent, get back into riding, or just sneak in a ride after work, there are now a few more options to make it easier for those managing around work, family or other commitments.
It’s also been a fun couple of weeks with some new ponies settling in, a few familiar faces returning, and plenty of progress happening across the board. If you’ve been meaning to book in or get started, now’s a really good time!

We’ve opened up more availability for our Beginner / Introductory Sessions at ZVD, with new spots now available midweek and on weekends.
If you’ve ever thought about getting into horses (or coming back after a long break), this is exactly where you start.
These sessions are one on one and completely tailored to you. Whether you’re brand new, a bit nervous, or just haven’t been around horses before, we take it at your pace and build your confidence step by step.
We cover things like:
• Getting comfortable around the horses
• Learning how to catch, handle, and tack up
• Understanding basic horse behaviour and safety
• Riding (when you’re ready), at a level that suits you
Some people want to focus more on handling, others are keen to get straight into riding… most do a mix of both. There’s no set formula, it’s about what you’re comfortable with.
Our horses are incredibly well educated, safe, and kind, and the whole experience is designed to feel supportive and enjoyable, not overwhelming.
These sessions are perfect for anyone completely new to horses, or those wanting to build confidence in a relaxed, private environment.
With extra availability now open across the week and weekends, it’s a great time to get started 🐴✨
Our next spot available is this coming Saturday morning, the 11th.
