The 2025 UCI Master World Championship was awesome!

It was sick to be there with Mark, Ryan, John, Steve,
Lee, Chris and Firthy.

What made it even better was to see Firthy and Lee on the podium in 3rd and 2nd! Good to know the guys from Vic are the fastest around!

UCI World Chanps so far:

After 6 practice runs I’ve made it through everything cleanly, I’ve just not been able to get through everything cleanly in the same run.

Have either dropped, washed out or just hit the deck hard in every run, and it’s always in a different place. I also broke my hanger on the last practice run, and only by a miracle was there 1 person in Cairns the bike shop owner knows that a spare one in his garage that I am able to have a bike with gears for tomorrows race.

It’s been so much fun so far. It’s a challenging track with a bit of everything. I’ve never hit jumps this size this fast ever! Big smiles all round.

Fingers crossed for a clean race run tomorrow 🤞

The Masters of the Universe crew coming together for a practice at Narby. With the World Champs in Cairns coming up in may, we’re still trying figure out how to ride our bikes.

This was the first round for the Vic and Aus Mountain Bike series and it was sick fun!

Mark was out because we broke his wrist a couple of weeks earlier at My Beauty and I was going to ride my new DH bike (Pivot Phoenix) for the first time.

What an awesome weekend of riding at the Pineapple express!

It was sunny, then wet, then sunny again. We ate the food, we rode the bikes, we drank the beer and had all the fun!

We got to ride with a great bunch of people, caught up with others we have not seen for too long and can't wait to do it again next year.

I don't have any photo's as we were too busy riding and making the most of the time we had, but there will be a video coming (eventually). I did grab a screen shot of our results for the crew from the timed sections from the weekend.

Dan killed it for 15th out of 758 riders!

Heading to the Pineapple Express in Bright tomorrow...totally pumped!

What an awesome day this was! We never ride in the rain, but in this case we made an exception.

Bren wanted to get together with a group of friends and get out for a ride to celebrate his birthday...so he created Brenduro!

He created 5 stages to compete in using Strava to record our times. Let's just say there were some interesting results.

For a bit of fun he also built a ramp for a long jump. We started off small, but not wanting to be beaten by the other we pushed it to our limits...beyond the limit for one of us.

It was another awesome day out on the bike.

You ride long enough you're going to hurt yourself. Some more than others!

I had a tube inserted into the lung to drain fluid etc, it couldn't stay in there forever!

Removing the tube 🤮 What goes in must come out! The worst part was removing the dressing.

The bruises have come out well! I got home yesterday and just need to take it easy for a little while.
