For the love of film

For the ❤️ of film’s workshops have been quiet this last 6 months whilst I have been working with upcoming and talented 3rd year VCA Film and TV students on their graduating films.

I am excited however to continue supporting female and gender diverse filmmakers and have just been accepted by University of Melbourne’s VCA School of Film and Television with a scholarship to do my PHD! Here I will research and make a film and documentary to create more opportunities for women and gender diverse filmmakers aged 40+ to tell their stories.

I was nervous to see this film. I ❤️ Amy Winehouse. And, I ❤️this film. Such an icon. Such a voice. Such a heart. This film captures Amy’s pure magic whilst also respecting her relationships with her family and her ❤️

Calling filmmakers, film crews, actors, composers, sound designers and general creative folk. Awards night at our final workshop for “The reel collective”. We had awards in the name of strong females from the big screen from Greta Gerwig to Audrey Hepburn.

Not sure if there is anything cuter than watching D.O.P Mia shooting wearing her bunny ears.

Bold and beautiful participant Annie Mangan’s short doco “I Am Not My Mask” screens tomorrow . A vibrant, colourful and moving story that explores a public face and a private inner persona.

“Coming into focus” is our second film to be screened this International Women’s Day from writer/director collaborator’s - a beautiful insight into lives of two women with a shared experience.
