Monday β‘οΈ Bird Dog π
Level 1: set up a strong and stable base
Level 2: add in a lever load
Level 3: Challange that lever load against gravity
Level 4: add complexity and challenge
Take your time moving through the levels, and as you feel comfortable and stable you can add on. Unfortunately there is no golden puppy at level 5 so no need to rush there.
Hope you enjoy these little Mat Moments you can do at home, no props- just you and gravity. π€

After being hunched over like Quasimodo hopping from bed to lounge and back again with a cold the past week~ these delicious shapes are as about as much as I can manage right now, and also feel incredibly good.
These would also be a great after a big day/week at work if you also feel a little hunched over π«

Striking Ninja π₯· whip out your sword you badass.
Reach the top arm forward, up and over your head and back towards your hip allowing the chest and ribcage to rotate open to the sky~ bolster optional (pillows can work), this allows more opening of the top side ribcage so you can breath some fresh air into those lungs.
Puppy pose/Springing tiger π―
Let the body oscillate with the breath to soften in. Can move into some hammock like sways side to side.
Bolster or pillows can be under the arms or chest for more support. Toes can also tuck if you like a bit more π₯
Hungry monkey π
Top hand can be behind head or reaching long (like youβre a hungry monkey reaching for a banana), rotate chest up and down- soften into the forward fold. Bolster for support as well as a block optional to support the head.
