Hi all
We are still waiting on the offical details of the day but please plan on the below:
- arrive NO LATER THAN 7:30am so everyone can be organised into their teams and coaches know who everyone is prior to the nation March
- nation March usually commences at 8am so please be ready, in uniform and all set to represent Team Aus
- If you are borrowing uniform on the day please find me as soon as possible. Please arrive by 7:15am so everyone can be organised and dressed on time
Uniforms have arrived! If you would like your uniform before the tournament, please organise a time to collect it with either Low or myself. I will also be up at Caroline Springs Leisure Centre at 7pm if you would like to collect tonight.
For those unaware or new to the tournament I will add the link to the venue below. Please DO NOT park down the residential streets as you will receive a fine or be towed. Please do not drive up onto the grass area around the courts! If you have items to cart from the car please bring a trolley or ask for help.
Lastly, FEES! If you have not paid your fees, do so ASAP. I have umpires to pay guys and would much prefer to organise payments ahead of time.
If anyone has any questions or concerns about the day please let me know!

We should be getting the Pac Cup draws any day now… emphasis on “should.” If you’re new to the Pac Cup circus, this kind of waiting game is pretty much part of the experience. As soon as we get the draw, you’ll get it, promise!
Now, a few survival tips for the weekend ahead:
- Be ready for literally all weather conditions. Sunburn, showers, wind that could relocate your tent, it’s part of the Pac Cup charm.
- If you own a gazebo, bring it please This is not a drill. The more shady setups we’ve got, the better the vibe and the drier the snacks.
- Speaking of snacks, please bring a plate of goodies to share. The snack table in our gazebo will be the elite fuel station keeping our athletes running at peak energy.
- Aussie flags, hats, banners, if it screams “Ozzie, Ozzie, Ozzie,” bring it! The louder, brighter, and more over-the-top, the better.
Let’s bring the fun, the snacks, and the weatherproofing, because it’s Pac Cup time, and chaos is tradition.

What a day at the Melbourne Pacific Cup! The weather started off icy cold, but as the sun popped through, the day warmed up—and so did the spirit across all our Team Aus teams. Huge thanks to all the players, families, and friends for making this event so memorable and enjoyable. We hope you had as much fun as we did!
A big shout-out to everyone who brought gazebos to keep us all sheltered and to those who contributed snacks to keep players and supporters fueled throughout the day—you kept us going! Massive gratitude to our incredible coaches mentoring every team:
Leland – 18s Open
Kristyl – 18s Reserves
Low – 17s Open
Sienna – 17s Reserves
Dianne – 15s Open
Nadine – 15s Reserves
Linda – 13s Open
Elise – 11s Open
Special thanks to Ainsley for sourcing 8 umpires to cover all our teams, a difficult task, but we got there. A huge heartfelt thank you to our Team Aus Coordinator, Kristyl, who worked tirelessly for weeks (and even the night before) finding players to fill our teams after as many as 12 players dropped out in the last week alone. Ensuring we got everyone uniforms and ready for the day. The calm under pressure was impressive! A great big thank you also to the parents who helped find extra players—the replacements turned out to be better than the original selections. Many thanks to those players.
This year also brought plenty of learnings that made everything run smoother, and Di’s team schedule was an absolute hit. We had 3 teams make the fianls,15s Open, 17s Open, and 18s Open. The 15s and the 17s missing out on the Grand Final spot by a whisker to the eventual winners but a gallant effort by both teams. 18s Open team battled hard and clinched the Golden Chalice after a thrilling Grand Final against New Zealand—winning in the last minutes of a nail-biter. The Trans-Tasman rivalry is alive and kicking right here!
Congratulations to our 2025 18s Open Champions!
Lastly, a shout-out to everyone—from the spirited 11s all the way up to our 18s—as well as to parents, families, friends, and even the two random kids who sneaked in for a feast at the snack table (who might have gotten a size 9 boot from mom)!
Enjoy the school holidays folks, and Lakers players, keep that fitness up—the first week back is a fitness session!

Friendly reminder to all players—if you haven’t picked up your dress yet, please make it a priority to find Kristyl as soon as you arrive at the tournament venue. She will be coordinating dress distribution, and it’s important everyone is dressed and ready before your first game. Don’t wait until the last minute to get your dress sorted to avoid any delays or issues on game day. Thanks for your cooperation!
