Capitations – Or whose money is it really❓❗️

We heard a disturbing story recently about capitations being delayed, cancelled or short changed.
For those who don’t know, capitation is an amount of money returned to branches based on their membership size and designed to improve the running of that branch. This money may be spent on range improvements, programmes (for example, Juniors) or events (for example, local recruitment or promotion).
What appears not to be understood is that capitations help spread the message to all potential shooters and help with volunteer development in local communities. It’s something they rely on. After all, if someone volunteers their time and labour the least we can do is support them.
We understand the argument that timely financials are required from branches to fulfil our obligations to the Australian Tax Office and other regulators. Still, once the paperwork is done, even if late (they are volunteers after all who probably have other jobs and commitments as well) – the capitation should be paid.
Members are not an inconvenience! They are the lifeblood of the association.

At the age of 22 is the first female President of the Deerstalkers Club, Current range officer at Eagle park and former employee of Springvale Gun range; A passionate and successful Deer hunter and target shooter; She is a advocate for young people, hunting and staff members.
She is the voice for generations to come, she is the demographic we need representing us and she has the fight in her to keep our sport alive.

Currently president of the Field Hunters Club and a Firearm Safety Training Instructor for 35 years. A passionate hunter and a staff member who designed the methods and process of the CPM programme in its heyday.

Is a Leading Senior Constable at Ballarat Police with a career of 42 years. Graham was In charge of a one person station with 34 years in Wimmera. He has dedicated 20 years to the highly successful CPM program in Western Victoria and wonders where the national Farmers Assist programme is in Victoria 🤷🏽‍♀️. As past (assistant) Secretary Treasurer etc of Nhill branch and Life member of Vic blue light after 20 years as State Treasurer of Vic blue light board his focus will be on the needs of smaller country branches and the SSAA voting system.

Ex-member of multiple government advisory boards including the Hunting Advisory Committee and Victorian Fi****ms Advisory Committee.
