The world's greatest all start somewhere Giacomo Agostini started on a Moto Morini 175cc The rest as they is now a matter of history. Greatest Racer Ever?

Giacomo Agostini, 1963
One record-breaking ride changed everything. When Agostini tore up the Bologna-San Luca hill climb aboard his private Moto Morini 175 Settebello in May 1962, setting a blistering new record, Alfonso Morini himself knew he'd witnessed something special. That same evening, before the day was done, Morini made his move—offering the young talent a factory contract complete with a 175 Settebello "Aste Corte" works bike and dedicated mechanic.
The gamble paid off spectacularly. By 1963, pictured here astride his Morini, Agostini had already captured both the Italian mountain championship and the Italian junior road racing championship for his new employer. A legend was being forged—turn to page 122 to discover how these early triumphs launched one of motorcycle racing's greatest careers.
