Day 6 - Free day where we all got a chance to catch our breath and spend time with loved ones. A personal highlight for me was finally getting to watch Alexander Evans captain the Hearts U15 team in the quarter-final of the Scottish Youth cup. A man of the match performance saw Alexander assist in 4 goals and score a screamer left foot volley. Very impressive showing and a sign of much more to come. Very proud of you pal and keep developing into the cracking player and young man you are.

Day 5 - The boys trained with the Celtic Academy again today. Another good showing where they learned a lot about finishing and timings of runs. They also caught up with Celtic coach Jack Clow who was part of the September program that saw the boys selected.

Day 4 - Another cold day couldn't keep the boys down as they watched the Celtic U19's train before heading into the Celtic staff canteen, Celtic Perk, for lunch. Match against Livingston to finish off the day.

Day 3 - Afternoon training session for the boys at Barrowfield. Meeting Willie McStay, Academy Recruitment Manager, was a great coincidence and he gave us insights into what it takes to not only recruit academy players but retain them in the face of big money moves by EPL and European teams.
The boys again acquitted themselves well after a good nights sleep and were easily in the top 4 players on show, despite being the youngest by at least 2 years. More good signs being shown by Conor & Anders.

Day 2 of the Celtic Academy Experience. Tour of Celtic Park gave the boys a behind the scenes look at the stadium, the history and the size of the club. Stepping into 1st team players shoes as they walked into the home dressing room, out onto the pitchside and into the dugouts.
Later this evening, Conor & Anders had their 1st training session with the Celtic Academy boys. No pics or videos are allowed for safeguarding reasons but the boys enjoyed a session full of intensity, skill, challenges and fun. The boys contested well in the session and showed they belong at this level before fatigue kicked in to due to the travel completed in the previous couple of days. Good signs for the rest of the program.

A week working and learning from good coaches and even better people from all around the world. Pro coaches from around the world willing to share their ideas, methods, insights and experiences was by far the biggest football learning I've ever had.
