💫International Women's Day 2021💫
"We can all choose to challenge and call out gender bias and inequality. We can all choose to seek out and celebrate women's achievements. Collectively, we can all help create an inclusive world." -IWD 2021
Did you know less than 25% of tennis coaches in Australia are women? We are proud to have 10 of these coaches as part of the VTA team and will continue to provide more opportunities for coaches and women in sport.
Hand up high to show you're in!

All tennis is on pause for now...
All VTA venues will close as of 6:00pm on Sunday 2nd August
In light of stage 4 restrictions being introduced in Melbourne, all tennis will pause temporarily. We'll keep you updated as information becomes clearer on current restrictions and how tennis will be reintroduced in the near future. Having been in this position before, we know that tennis will be one of the first sports to return, and no doubt stronger than ever.
On behalf of the VTA team, we'd like to thank you for your support over the past few months. As a small business, this will be a particularly difficult time but we will continue to support our team during this period in any way we can and we look forward to getting back to what we do best.
We will continue to keep you updated throughout this time and encourage you to follow us on instagram for your tennis fix!
Stay safe and keep well,
The VTA Team

Mask up Melbourne...
Here’s what the latest restrictions mean for tennis.
🎾 All visitors to the centre will be expected to follow directions from DHHS apart from where exemptions apply
🎾 When you are entering/leaving the courts or checking in with our office a face covering should be worn
🎾 If you are doing strenuous physical exercise you do not need to wear a face covering but you must carry one with you. Strenuous exercise can include playing tennis.
🎾 Private lessons (1:1) will continue and can be shared by members of the same household
🎾 Court bookings (with max one other person or members of your own household) will also continue
🎾 ALL players must check in using the QR codes at the venue prior to entering the courts
Stay safe and stay smart

Changes to our tennis programs:
As of Thursday 9th July VTA will be offering a restricted tennis operation...
In line with updated government guidelines, all group tennis activities will temporarily pause from midnight on Wednesday 8th July. However, we will continue to ensure the community has access to tennis during this time:
🎾 1:1 Private lessons will continue (OR shared privates for up to 3 people in the same household)
🎾Court bookings (with max one other person or members of your own household) will also continue
Our team is relieved to still be able to offer our community a safe outlet to stay active, however, please continue to stay safe and stay home if you are feeling unwell.

We are on PAUSE...
All VTA venues are closed. Our tennis is scheduled to resume for term 2 on Monday 13th April, in line with government guidelines, and we can’t wait to see you back!
This decision has been incredibly difficult and whilst it’ll be challenging for us, our priority needs to be the health and well-being of our team and community.
On behalf of the VTA team, we’d like to thank you and your families for your continued support. 🙏
We will continue to keep you updated throughout this time.
Stay safe and keep well.

We’re lucky we have so much space on a tennis court! Tennis is one of the few sports where players maintain plenty of social distance, have no contact and is played outdoors. You’ll notice we’ve modified our lessons and activities to ensure the safest environment for you to exercise and maintain a healthy lifestyle!
Remember it’s elbow bumps not fist pumps 💪
