Another update on how the final weekend for the year went with Worboys MotorSport 💪

Sunday’s Pre-Final and Final had plenty of action throughout the field to say the least.
Heat 3 - I stated in 8th place after the fantastic Heat 2 result. Ended up crossing the line in 9th and had some fantastic but hard battles. Lead the mid pack freight train for most of the race, but in the last couple of laps just couldn’t hold onto 8th in the end.
Final - Started out of 7th, and nearly held onto it too, but ended up 9th again. Avoided some carnage and carved up some spots in the opening corners putting me right in the thick of the lead pack (about 6 in that group all weekend!). As well as all kept jostling for our positions, I came out in 7th and right on the back of the lead pack. As the race went on I was the main kart leading the mid pack one again. After getting passed by one, I made a very very small mistake when pushing a bit too hard, which meant I was exposed for some battles in the dying laps of the race. The battles were intense and fun, but I came out in 9th grade place again.
I did manage to set my PB around Albury Wodonga Kart Club on the last lap of the race in the GOLDEN POWER SERIES.

Plenty of action has been happening with everyone in the Pedders Racing camp this weekend !!

That’s a wrap for the 2023 GOLDEN POWER SERIES season. All packed away in the trailer for some good mechanical love 🏎️
To give a spoiler, it was a fantastic end to the series. I ended the series with my fastest lap of the round. Also, considering I started the year at Albury trying to get onto the back on the mid pack at the state titles, to ending Golden Power Series not far away from the lead pack, it’s a fantastic way to close out the year !!

Heat 1 race done Saturday afternoon:
Started 15th and got to 12th.
Heat 2 race done this morning:
Started 15th and got to 4th !!!

During Heat 1 there were plenty of battles and some very right racing throughout the first few laps. Most people managed to stay on the track and after exchanging positions a few times, 12th is where we crossed the line

Heat 2, let’s just just say it was interesting to say the least .. Race started for 2 laps, then 2 laps under ‘safety kart’ before an attempted re-start. Absolute carnage happened in front of me with karts going everywhere, but thankfully I chose the right lines and came out in 5th!! During the race the kart was only getting quicker and quicker setting a new PB every lap. Staying close to the front pack, one of them came off the track to allow me to sneak through to 4th before the Chequered flag. Will have to check the results, but that’s certainly up there for best race finish of the year !!

The weekend has started off with a few bent bits after someone spun out of the pits leaving me with no where to go. After getting that sorted and the kart set up well, qually had plenty of anticipation. However, the “I never got that clear lap” came into play resulting in a 15th place start in the 20+ kart field.
Only 1 heat for todays racing, so stay tuned to hear how it went !!

Apologies everyone that there haven’t been many updates in this space lately. Life kind of got in the way for a while there !!
I’ve been up to plenty as always, and not to mention still racing !!
This weekend I am ready to go for the final round of the GOLDEN POWER SERIES at Albury Wodonga Kart Club to round off the year !!
You’ll hear from me with semi-regular updates with how racing is going. Then after this weekend you’ll hear about the racing news that’s been happening, along with a massive thank you to the 2023 sponsors!!

Just in case you thought I had got enough racing on the weekend, guess again!! After the weekend of karting at Bendigo Kart Club , I just got home in time for the virtual world of racing to compete in Round 2 of the NTeseries . Sunday nights race was under lights at the Daytona Roval, and man it was fun.

Qualified 13th out of the strong 40 car field. After dodging an incident on the start straight, I found myself in 7th. Taking advantage of an early pitstop strategy and safety car, half way through the race I secured a spot in the top 5!! After some good battles, I was in 6th. All the way down to the last lap I managed to hold onto 6th place by only 0.021 seconds!!

So theme of this last racing weekend, 6th place is the go 😂😅

An update from Pedders Racing on my weekends results 🏎️🌬️ 8️⃣6️⃣

Sundays GOLDEN POWER SERIES racing was full on at Bendigo Kart Club to say the least!!
It was the most successful/consistent weekend I’ve had to date.
In Summary, Sundays results were:
Heat 2: Started 6th & Finished 4th
Heat 3: Started 6th & Finished 10th
Final: Started 6th & Finished 6th
After qualifying in 6th, starting every race in 6th and finishing in 6th in the final
Overall for the weekend, no surprise, 6th 😅

It was fantastic to continue saturdays pace into Sundays racing. In particular, having some luck go my way mixed in with being one of the quickest on track in Heat 2, it was a fantastic way to start the day.
Heat 3 there was a Lap 1 Turn 1 incident where the track turned into a carpark, and we were in a 6/7lap virtual safety kart. I was fortunate enough to have only minor damage, but this meant I was right at the back of the field. After the few laps of green, I scrounged together a 10th place, so some points are better than none.
In the Final, everyone was tussling for position again in turn one. After Turn 1, the first half of the race was full of passing and hard racing, the second half was everyone in their groove pushing hard. To only be a few seconds away from the lead pack, it was a fantastic way to end the weekend.
