Amazing women's xcc race. They are racing so aggressively it's unreal!

No powermeter, no heart rate monitor, just a track leading to a beach

Great weekend down at Foster for the first and second rounds of the Victorian Mountain Bike Championship series. A brilliant effort from the guys at Prom Coast MTB Club to get the event across the line with such short notice.

Mondraker Podium was superb all weekend. As usual has it running a treat. Rollers were the perfect tyre for the weekend, fast but still super grippy in the slippery conditions.

program is working well and delivered a first and second place and my numbers are looking solid for so early in the season.

I challenge you to find a better looking bike! And it performs as well as it looks. All ready for a weekend of great racing down at Foster hosted by the Prom Coast MTB Club .

I've helped plan the courses. Saturday is tough, Sunday is fun.

See you there!

Power2Max are hands down the best power meters I've used. They just work, every time. Grab a bargain!

Spring is close and I've got a bit of a spring back in my step. The National Champs and the Dragon Trail down in Tasmania were a bit of a downer. A couple of days before the Champs I took a big OTB chasing Brooke down a brilliant run at Maydena. I didn't realise it but I'm pretty sure I gave myself a solid concussion. I raced in a fog. I was so far out of it I didn't realise I hadn't put a transponder on the bike, and then thought I'd crossed the finish line 50m early and sat up. Even though I'd already ridden through the finish 3 times already in the race. That brain fade dropped me from 3rd to 4th. A week later I got to the Dragon Trail. Leaving my phone in a supermarket trolley on the way to the pickup and having a $70 taxi ride back to retrieve it wasn't a good omen. I rode the first day and felt so bad I packed it in and spent most of the next 2 days just sleeping and sitting around the camp-site. 6 months later and until last week I'd been on a bike twice. With 6 months until the next Nationals I'm finally feeling enthusiastic again, and enjoying a few solid base rides. power2max powermeter tells me power levels are down, but not frighteningly so. Bike feels as good as when Astroboyracer last worked on it. So now it's just get back into the groove with Todd Cuthbert and hope lockdown 7, 8, 9 or 10 aren't in February next year 🤣

3 years ago in Andorra. Looks like this year's Masters' World Champs are going ahead in Pra Loup, France but we can't get there. Maybe next year in Argentina. 😒
