$10m Golden Eagle at Rosehill for our boy Lightsaber this Saturday!

Lightsaber has recovered well from his last run where he experienced cardiac arrhythmia. This week he passed a ECG test with RV giving us the green light to race again this prep. Lightsaber will look to resume next week on Caulfield Cup day in the Moonga Stakes.

Disappointing result today for Lightsaber in the Sandown Stakes. Luke said he just didn’t feel great throughout the run. Post race vet check has revealed Atrial fibrillation of the heart so this explains his performance today. More than often this can be treated easily. Lightsaber will be further checked over the coming days.

Lightsaber is ready to kick off his campaign this Saturday in the Memsie.

Lightsaber to kick-off in the Memsie Stakes Peter Moody is hoping for the prediction of no more rain and a Caulfield track improving into the soft range will enable Lightsaber to kick off his campaign.

Lightsaber is back in work and in ‘great order’. He’s gearing up for a big Spring racing program.

Stable Eyes

Lightsaber finished up his spelling today and will now begin his pre-training for the upcoming Spring prep. In 4 weeks time he will then head back down to Melbourne to Moody’s stable to start a full training program.

Unfortunately Lightsaber was a little flat for the running of the All-Star Mile. The Guineas run really took it’s toll as Nolen could feel during the race that he wasn’t striding as best as can, as such he was eased off on the straight. Although he had an interrupted prep, we couldn’t be more proud of his two impressive runs in the Australia Stakes and Australian Guineas. He will now head to the paddock for some R&R over the next 6 weeks before returning to train for a Spring campaign. Possible target races will be the Toorak Handicap at Caulfield and Golden Eagle at Rosehill.

It’s race day! All-Star Mile!! The richest mile race in the world! Race 6 at Flemington today.

Lightsaber has now pulled up well after a slow recovery form the Guineas. He’s drawn a wide gate so he will need to jump well and settle close to the speed to have a chance. Regardless of the outcome today we are extremely proud of him and privileged to be in this great race!
