This year I’m committing to the Hyrox Pro!
I wanted a new fitness challenge for 2026 and I feel this is the one, I love how the Hyrox has a mixture of cardio and strength which will push me and will help guide my training.
The stations I’m most daunted about are the two sled stations (202kg sled push & 153kg sled pull) and the 100 x 9kg wall balls.

Ok, let’s talk about Blood Pressure.
Blood Pressure is the pressure of blood that travels through your blood vessels (arteries) around your body.
Blood pressure measures two types of pressure in your vessels, the first (and generally higher number) indicates the SYSTOLIC pressure in your arteries when your heart beats.
The other number (generally the lower number) indicates your DIASTOLIC pressure which represents the pressure in your arteries in between your heart beats.
Hypertension is another word for high blood pressure.
The table above demonstrates the different types of blood pressure and their corresponding values.
Did you know that you can get your blood pressure checked for free at most chemists!?
You can also get a check at your local GP clinic and/or your nearest hospital.
As always, it is very important to discuss your blood pressure readings with your doctor if you have any concerns or questions.

4 more sleeps until I’m back coaching my Monday 6am Spin + Sculpt class at again!
It’s been a nice break to reflect on the year that was and refresh for a brand new year ahead!
What I’m looking forward to most this year is seeing my week in week out 6AMers and meeting new legends who are wanting to make a positive change in their life by dedicating some time to themselves in the gym!
This 45 minute class is designed to get your heart pumping and fuel your body with endorphins for the week ahead, it always includes a 5 minute warm up and cool down to reduce the risk of injury. The “Spin” component ensures there will always be at least one spin bike involved with the “Sculpt” component referring to balanced resistance-based or bodyweight cardio exercises.

So proud of my dad (Ray) and brother (Brody) who decided 5 weeks ago that they wanted to make changes to their lifestyle by becoming more conscious of their daily eating habits, physical activity and committing to one PT session with me per week.
The results have been incredible so far with dad losing 3kgs and Brody dropping 5kgs!
They have not only lost weight but they have become stronger and more confident in the gym and wish to continue into the New Year!
