On my yearly retreat to beautiful Bali with my husband for 2 weeks.๐ชธ๐๐ฆ๐ด
Intention set to the 3 R's....
RELAX๐ซ
REFLECT๐ค
REJUVENATE๐
RELAXTION:-Soaking in all the surroundings, using all of my 5 senses.Leaving all the stressors in the past behind.
REFLECTION:- With relaxation always comes reflection. I am grateful for all in my present, what has been & what is yet to happen.
REJUVENATION:- The first 2 R's give perspective, helping me to recharge & practise much delayed self care.
Remember to take care of yourself.....

Boundaries in Art therapy sessions are paramount, between the therapist & the client. But, there is room for a shift or change with regularly checking in.
I find in my work, nearly all of my clients are struggling with some form of boundaries. These can include, relationships within the family dynamic, friendships, partners, work or challenging situations.Emotional attachment to boundaries encompasses our personal history & how we react to a situation or person.
In Art therapy, we can use various creative processes. This can allow exploration in how we set boundaries & the effect on our desired outcomes.
Working with imagination, metaphors, symbolism & embodiment us with an understanding, promoting self growth.
During my supervision recently, boundaries came up again for me in my practise & in my private life.
This is my representation.
Wings- I can keep growing & be who I wish.
Halo- clients sometimes think we can fix everthing.
Mask- to be genuine with all my positive & negative traits.
Puzzle pieces- not letting everyone have a piece of me.
Clear box- Don't allow people to invade my space, if I am not comfortable.
My question is....what are your boundaries?๐คทโโ๏ธ๐

Today is Australia's official day of action, to remind us to reach out & help those in need, support or even just to listen.
The question is "are you OK?
I Have in the past with my clients at Healing Wings asked this....the responce has been varied. Quite a few would rather not be asked .
I now reframe it & say I am here for you, what ever you need, if that's OK๐.

Looking after your wellbeing & managing stress is key. ๐
One of my favourite things to do is to travel, soaking in the culture & different surroundings. Beautiful Bali is just the place to do this ๐ # # #
This grounds me, allowing appreciation & gratitude, allowing my mind to become quieter & refresh.
Remember to take a moment everyday to........

Day 6...The natural patterns formed in nature, represent their mandala of a cycle- blooming then dying. I found this beautiful lotus on it's own today.
I also created my mandala... I called it sunshine dancing through the rain๐ค๐ฟ
"We should learn to see everyday life as a mandala- the luminous fringes of experience which radiate spontaneously from the empty nature of our being. The aspects of our day-to-day objects if our life experience moving in the dance or play if the universe"

Day 5 of my mandalas,๐ธ I found a frangapanie this morning that had fallen perfectly into some foliage. This is where my inspiration manifests from
today. I am using the shapes & patterns of foliage as my art therapy & meditation. My goal is to commit to finishing & enternalise my intentions in relishing the beauty that Bali displays.
