Alchemy in Action

Transformation doesnโ€™t happen all at once.

Itโ€™s an unfolding โ€” a dance between the known and the unknown, the seen and the unseen.

This week has been about release โ€” clearing, cleansing, making space โ€” and as I prepare for my online writerโ€™s retreat next week, I can feel the alchemy already beginning.

Thereโ€™s a stirring inside me โ€” a beautiful blend of excitement, curiosity, and a touch of fear.

Because thatโ€™s what happens when you stand at the edge of a new chapter.

You feel the pull of your purpose and the flutter of uncertainty all at once.

I know that this retreat isnโ€™t just about writing Becoming Me: The Making of a Courageous Woman โ€” itโ€™s about becoming her even more deeply.

Itโ€™s about surrendering to the process, trusting what flows through, and allowing the healing to continue โ€” word by word, truth by truth.

Alchemy isnโ€™t comfortable. Itโ€™s sacred.

Itโ€™s where fear melts into faith, and pain transforms into power.

Itโ€™s where endings become beginnings.

This journey is showing me โ€” yet again โ€” that courage doesnโ€™t mean having it all figured out.

It means showing up for yourself, even when youโ€™re trembling.

It means holding the pen, trusting the process, and saying, โ€œIโ€™m ready for whatever this next chapter brings.โ€

โœจ Affirmation:

โ€œI trust the process of transformation. Whatโ€™s meant for me will always find me.โ€

And speaking of chaptersโ€ฆ

Here is the opening section of chapter one of my book, Becoming Me: The Making of a Courageous Woman. ๐Ÿ’ซ

CHAPTER ONE: The Day My Foundation Cracked

In my work as a mindset coach, I have guided countless women back through the timeline of their lives to locate that pivotal momentโ€”the moment when their inner world shifted, when their sense of safety or self was shattered. The day their foundation cracked.

This is not just about unearthing pain; itโ€™s about setting it free. By revisiting that moment, acknowledging the emotion it holdsโ€”whether fear, shame, sadness, or rageโ€”we give it permission to speak, to be heard, and ultimately, to be healed. It is from that space that we begin to rewrite the narrative, to step into courage with new understanding, and reclaim our power.

Now, I invite you to come with me as I walk back through my own timeline. Back to a place before memoryโ€ฆ but not before meaning. Because my foundation cracked long before I ever took my first breath.

It happened in the womb.

I was nestled inside what should have been the safest place on earthโ€”a motherโ€™s womb, a sacred space where love and life are meant to grow. But my early beginnings were anything but peaceful. I now know that the womb, for me, was a chamber of pain, confusion, and betrayal. My mother, barely holding herself together, carried me as best she couldโ€”but the weight she bore was far more than just physical.

You see, early in her pregnancy, my father began a relationship with another woman. Perhaps even before I was fully formed, I was already learning what it meant to feel unwanted. To be a burden. To carry the weight of disappointment not even born.

Still, that wasn't the moment my foundation cracked. That momentโ€”the moment everything inside me changedโ€”came later.

It was in the sixth month of her pregnancy, just four weeks before I was due to enter the world, when the unthinkable happened.

My father pushed my mother down a flight of stairs.

She fell, belly first, with me inside her.

He didnโ€™t stay to see if she was okay.

He didnโ€™t wait to know if I was still alive.

He left her thereโ€”broken, terrified, and alone. And I was there too, inside her. Feeling it all.

The art of letting go isnโ€™t about loss โ€” itโ€™s about ๐ฅ๐ข๐›๐ž๐ซ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง.
When we release what weighs us down, we rise into who we were always meant to be.

Lately, Iโ€™ve been sitting in reflection โ€” gently untangling the stories, fears, and attachments that no longer align with where my spirit is guiding me. This is deep work. ๐’๐จ๐ฎ๐ฅ ๐ฐ๐จ๐ซ๐ค.

And as I move through this, I can feel something else stirring within meโ€ฆ a mix of ๐ž๐ฑ๐œ๐ข๐ญ๐ž๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ, ๐œ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ข๐จ๐ฌ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ, ๐š๐ง๐ ๐š ๐ญ๐จ๐ฎ๐œ๐ก ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐Ÿ๐ž๐š๐ซ
about whatโ€™s ahead.
In just a week, Iโ€™ll be diving into a ๐Ÿ‘ ๐๐š๐ฒ ๐จ๐ง๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐ž ๐ฐ๐ซ๐ข๐ญ๐ž๐ซโ€™๐ฌ ๐ซ๐ž๐ญ๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ญ โ€” a sacred space to pour my heart even deeper into the writing and completion of my book, Becoming Me: The Making of a Courageous Woman.

Itโ€™s funny how creation and surrender walk hand in hand.
I donโ€™t know exactly what will unfold during those days โ€” and maybe thatโ€™s the point.
The unknown can feel both terrifying and thrilling, but itโ€™s where true transformation lives.

I can already feel the energy building โ€” the call to release old stories so new words, new truths, and new healing can rise through me.
This journey isnโ€™t just about writing a bookโ€ฆ itโ€™s about becoming the woman whoโ€™s ready to live it.

The number ๐Ÿ— keeps echoing around me โ€” a symbol of endings, completion, and preparation for rebirth.
Itโ€™s time to honour the ending๐ก๐จ๐ง๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ž๐ง๐๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ฌ, to release with gratitude, and make space for whatโ€™s waiting just beyond the page.

Something has been stirring deep within me lately โ€” a new spiritual chapter calling me forward. โœจ

Today, as I picked up some beautiful goodies to begin cleansing both my ๐›๐จ๐๐ฒ ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ก๐จ๐ฆ๐ž, I felt that familiar pull โ€” the one that whispers, โ€œItโ€™s time.โ€ Time to release. To renew. To return home to myself once more.

This journey didnโ€™t just begin today. Itโ€™s been quietly igniting over the past months as Iโ€™ve been writing my book,

Writing this book hasnโ€™t just been about telling my story โ€” itโ€™s been about ๐ก๐ž๐š๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ข๐ญ.
Itโ€™s been about giving voice to the little girl who was once silenced, the woman who carried invisible wounds,
and the leader who finally learned that courage isnโ€™t about having no fear โ€” itโ€™s about choosing to ๐ซ๐ข๐ฌ๐ž ๐š๐ง๐ฒ๐ฐ๐š๐ฒ.

Through each chapter, Iโ€™ve peeled back layers of pain, truth, and resilience.
And today, during my reading, I was told that my future is one of ๐ฐ๐ซ๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ , ๐œ๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ , ๐ข๐ฆ๐ฉ๐š๐œ๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ , ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ก๐ž๐š๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐  โ€” a message that felt like divine confirmation of everything Iโ€™ve been stepping into.

But there were also deeper truths โ€” the ones that echo through lifetimes โ€” reminding me thereโ€™s still more to release, to forgive, to transform.

This year โ€” for me, for all of us โ€” is the year of ๐ฅ๐ž๐ญ๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ ๐จ.
Weโ€™re in a powerful ๐Ÿ—-๐ฒ๐ž๐š๐ซ ๐œ๐ฒ๐œ๐ฅ๐ž, closing out what no longer serves us so we can step boldly into whatโ€™s waiting next year.

Let the cleansing begin.
Let the healing unfold.

This week, Iโ€™m back in the waiting room โ€” another MRI, another nerve conduction test.
And if Iโ€™m honest, this part is the hardest. The unknown. The waiting. The wondering.

Thereโ€™s something deeply uncomfortable about not having answers, especially when youโ€™ve already done โ€œall the right things.โ€
But hereโ€™s what resilience has taught me: calm is not found in certainty โ€” itโ€™s cultivated in uncertainty.

When fear creeps in, I return to the basics โ€” the same principles I wrote about in Cultivating Resilience.
๐ŸŒฟ ๐Œ๐ข๐ง๐๐Ÿ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ง๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ. One slow breath at a time.
๐ŸŒฟ ๐’๐ž๐ฅ๐Ÿ-๐œ๐š๐ซ๐ž. Listening to my bodyโ€™s cues, not overriding them.
๐ŸŒฟ ๐‚๐จ๐ง๐ง๐ž๐œ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง. Leaning on the people who remind me that Iโ€™m not walking this path alone.
๐ŸŒฟ ๐๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐ฉ๐ž๐œ๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ž. Remembering that every test, every waiting period, is just one chapter โ€” not the whole story.

This journey has softened me in unexpected ways. Itโ€™s reminded me that grace isnโ€™t passive โ€” itโ€™s powerful.
And even when life feels suspended, thereโ€™s still beauty in small things โ€” sunlight through the window, a message from a friend, a gentle reminder from within that Iโ€™ve overcome beforeโ€ฆ and I will again.

Resilience is not about ignoring the pain. Itโ€™s about holding both faith and fear in the same breath โ€” and choosing to keep breathing anyway.

So to the woman reading this whoโ€™s waiting for her own kind of healing โ€” whether itโ€™s physical, emotional, or spiritual โ€” this is your reminder:
You are stronger than you think, even when you feel fragile.
You are healing, even when you canโ€™t yet see it.

Thereโ€™s this misconception that strength always looks like doing more.
That resilience means getting up before dawn, grinding through pain, and never showing a crack.

But what if resilience looks like stillness?
What if itโ€™s the quiet moments between the storms that truly test our courage?

Right now, Iโ€™m sitting in that space. After my spinal surgery, things didnโ€™t go quite as expected โ€” complications, a possible infection, and another round of MRIs and nerve conduction tests this week. Itโ€™s confronting. There are moments I feel strong and calm, and others where fear whispers louder than faith.

But Iโ€™ve learned that resilience isnโ€™t just about bouncing back โ€” itโ€™s about growing through. Itโ€™s allowing yourself to be human. Itโ€™s surrendering the illusion of control while holding on to hope.
I used to push through everything. I believed slowing down meant I was falling behind. Now, I see that rest is one of the bravest acts of healing. When we rest, we listen. When we pause, we create space for our body, mind, and spirit to realign.

So today, Iโ€™m choosing to see rest as strength โ€” not weakness.
๐ŸŒฟ Iโ€™m choosing to trust that my body knows what to do.
๐ŸŒฟ Iโ€™m choosing to let go of the timeline I thought I should be on.
๐ŸŒฟ And Iโ€™m choosing to celebrate the progress I canโ€™t yet see.

To anyone navigating your own setback, I want you to remember this:
Healing is not linear. Growth is not always visible.
But you are still moving forward โ€” even when youโ€™re standing still.

Ever heard of habit triggers? ๐ŸŒŸ Theyโ€™re the secret to making new habits feel almost effortless.

Hereโ€™s how it works: you pair your new habit with something you already do every single day. Itโ€™s like โ€œpiggybackingโ€ a new behaviour onto an existing one.

For example:

โœ”๏ธ Want to stretch daily? Stack it onto brushing your teeth.

Personally, Iโ€™ve used this strategy in so many areas of my life. When I was building consistency with journaling, I made it part of my morning ritualโ€”right after my coffee, before checking my phone.

That one shift turned journaling from something I wanted to do into something I just did.

And right now, as I focus on creating habits that support both my energy and my healing, Iโ€™ve learned that these little cues matter. By linking a new habit to something Iโ€™m already doing, I remove the mental effort and make success automatic.

Small Steps, Big Change

โœจ Habits arenโ€™t about overnight transformationโ€”theyโ€™re about the tiny choices that add up to big results.

For me, one of the most powerful habits has always been my purposeful walks. There was a time I would easily walk 30kms in a single day, letting the rhythm of my steps clear my mind and strengthen my body.

But right now, life looks a little different. Iโ€™m learning to accept that every step countsโ€”whether itโ€™s 30kms or just a few minutes moving with intention. Because the truth is, small steps create big change.

Think about one habit youโ€™d love to cultivate. It doesnโ€™t have to be massive. Maybe itโ€™s drinking more water, journaling each morning, or taking a 10-minute walk after dinner.
