A big congratulations to all of our winners and runners up in our Annual Club Championships held over the last two weekends. Thank you to everyone who participated and an especially big thanks to Andrew our club coach who organised and ran the event again. It has been another great club event.

Banyule City Council are currently running a community survey regarding tennis club facilities and alike. We encourage all of our members to complete the survey to highlight demand to improved facilities, including our clubhouse, at the club.

Despite the weather today, club members and their families joined together to enjoy our Annual Christmas Party. There was face painting, a bbq and entertainment.
A big thanks to Penny and Laura for organising the event. Thanks to Andrew Wright for dealing with the minor flooding emergency and to Mark Durnford for running one of the best club bbqs we’ve seen in a while.

Yes, tomorrow's weather forecast isn't promising... But the MTC Christmas Party will be going ahead, rain, hail or shine. Kids on-court activities are rain dependent. However, we will still have our elf entertainer and free sausage sizzle.

Congratulations to Macleod Juniors for their win in this morning’s NEJTA Grand Final against Eltham.
Max, Connor, Josh and Campbell were unbeaten through the home and away games making it a perfect season.
Well done boys.
They are all coached by Wright Tennis and a big thanks to Andrew Wright for his help in hosting the finals.

A big thank you to the North East Community Fund for a grant that allowed the club to purchase new court sweepers, nets and scoreboards.

Today Macleod Tennis Club hosted our Girls! Serve it Up event today, promoting the participation of girls in tennis and more broadly in community sport.
It was a fantastic event with 33 girls attending and rotating through skill and match play tennis under the instruction of coaches from wright_tennis.
The event was made possible by the generous support of tenniswarehouseaustralia and northeast_community_fund
Some of our club member junior girls also helped make the event special; a big thanks to Tilly, Alva and Eva.
Also, a big thank you to the girls that attended today for their enthusiasm, effort and willingness to be involved

We have been successful in two grant applications from the North East Community Fund (NECF). As a result we will be receiving approximately $12,000 to fund tennis court equipment (including nets and scoreboards) and to run an event supporting and encouraging teenage girls to get involved in tennis.
A big thanks to the NECF and Major Road Projects Victoria for this money. Also, a big thanks to the Banyule Council for assisting us in preparing our applications.
