WAY to go Jack working this morning with Dean Jones - 1:1 AFL Coach! 👏

An U11, according to Jack he’s never been taught how to tackle properly before.

Although evident from his 1st attempt (face hits bag 1st), look at his progression in 9 minutes & with over 50 tackles now under his belt…!!!

BAILEY came to us with largely a 2 handed ball drop, little drop punt ex*****on, legs crossing lanes in his approach to target & wheeling out to his left on most kicks. 👨‍🔧 (ps. all above points are common but fixable).

Whilst there’s still work to do, he can be pleased with his progress, tonight a little pay day for his efforts to compliment his aerial prowess 💰

We’ve been refining & building up Bailey (& brother Chase), our approach in deliberate order through:

- Hand positioning
- Freeing up guide arm elbow from body
- No step kick
- 1 step kick
- 3-5 step kick
- On The run (straight)

***Notice the 2 most important points in our opinion have NOTHING to do with kicking…🤔***

Tonight we took on kicking to advantage, deadball specialist kicking, switch kicking but also added an element of energising the ball too 🦵

The boys & I often talk about playing with purpose & how can we stay involved in the game post kick, topping up their footy iq & running genuine footy patterns versus mindless laps 🧠
