With the 2023 MVP Backyard Ultra only a few days away (Fri 3rd Feb) we are pondering will this year continue with increased YARDS completed. Ben Nichols Pictured with just 1.4km to complete his 41st yard to finish as the Last Man Standing in 2022, surpassed Kay Bretz (36yards) in 2021 and Ben Hirts 24 in 2020. We think there is a minimum 48hrs in the mix, what do you think and who can go further. See you all Friday, Still spots available with options to enter with lower fees 7 yard (Marathon) or 15 yard (100km) and upgrade mid race.

At 7pm Friday Feb 4th MVP Backyard ultra last one standing kicked off with 62 runners.

A few hours ago 62 runners started their journey not knowing the distance they would complete or how long they would be running for. At MVP Back Yard Ultra we are not sure how far or how long they will be here either, but we are preparing for the long haul. Good luck everyone. #backyardultra #trailsplus

Cant wait to be back in the Maribyrnong Park in Brimbank Friday Feb 4th, almost 70 starters this year, exciting and should see another record number of hours (2020=24, 2021=36, 2022=?48maybe, some serious endurances runners in male and female category.

It's always great to read about a runners experience at an event, the Backyard Ultra Format offers a very different challenge to normal running events and we are pleased to share Tom Dade's race report and excited to see what Tom brings in 2022. Thanks for being a part of MVP 2021 Tom.

We have arranged a new start location just 100M from the Cafe, that gives us extra space. There is plenty of grass for supporters to setup on and enjoying watching runners pass through each of the 3 loops per lap per hour or less. The main hub and Marquees will be setup in the sand area
