We provide paediatric services ranging from preventive dental care to the treatment of complex dental issues.

Bite Size Paediatric Dentistry is a welcoming and caring specialist paediatric dental practice that aims to provide children with the best platform for a life of good dental health. We provide a personalised approach to dental treatment and will recommend appropriate treatment specific to each patient’s needs.

It's been a big long weekend of learning and catching up with colleagues across Australia and New Zealand at the Australasian Academy of Paediatric Dentistry. Dr Gwendolyn and Dr Giselle listened to updates about dental management of children with special health care needs, children with cleft lip and palate, hyponosis and paediatric oral pathology. Dr Giselle also had on her President cap for the conference, making sure it all ran smoothly.

There was a lovely dinner with friends like Hills and Country Paediatric Dentistry and colleagues to keep everyone well fed and hydrated!

And of course, no visit to Adelaide is complete without seeing the pandas (and komodo dragon)! 🐼

Meet Dr Liv 👋🦷

We’re delighted to introduce Dr Olivia Dalzell, our newest and wonderful paediatric dentist at Bite Size Paediatric Dentistry!

Dr Liv is passionate about creating positive dental experiences for children and helping little smiles grow healthy and strong. She understands that every child is different and takes the time to make each visit feel comfortable, calm and fun.

As part of her paediatric dental journey, Dr Liv has spent time at SickKids (The Hospital for Sick Children) in Toronto, gaining valuable experience caring for children with a wide range of dental and medical needs, including patients with clelft lip and palates. 🇨🇦 This experience has further strengthened her thoughtful, child-centred approach to dental care.

From your child’s very first dental visit through to ongoing care, Dr Liv is here to support children and families every step of the way.

Congratulations Dr Gwendolyn on her induction into the prestigious Pierre Fauchard Academy.

The Pierre Fauchard Academy is an international dental honour organisation that recognises dentists who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, ethical standards, and contributions to the profession and the wider community. Fellowship is granted to fewer than 3% of dentists internationally and is awarded strictly by invitation only, making it one of the highest and most exclusive honours in dentistry.

This remarkable recognition reflects Dr Gwendolyn’s unwavering commitment to paediatric dentistry, dedication to patient care, mentorship of future clinicians, and ongoing contribution to advancing oral health.

It takes a village to raise a healthy, happy child, and today we celebrate every person playing that 'mothering' role. To the mums, grandmas, aunts, and mentors, thank you for teaching the next generation to shine bright (and brush well!).

We also hold a special space for those with tender hearts today: those longing to be mothers, those who have lost mothers, and those who have lost children. Your strength is recognized, and you are part of this village too.

🌟 Meet Dr Giselle! 🌟

Dr Giselle D’Mello has recently joined our Bite Size family!

She has a special knack for caring for anxious little ones, managing dental trauma, and supporting children with special health care needs. Her gentle, child-centred approach helps make every visit a positive one 💙

Dr Giselle completed her dental degree in 2006 and went on to specialise in Paediatric Dentistry at the University of Otago, New Zealand. She’s also a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (that’s dentist-speak for very qualified! 😉).

When she’s not at Bite Size Paediatric Dentistry, Dr Giselle works at the Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne and teaches at the University of Melbourne — all while advocating for children’s oral health across Australia. She’s also the current President of the Australian Academy of Paediatric Dentistry! 👏

Outside of dentistry, Dr Giselle loves travelling with her husband and kids and cheering from the sidelines of all their sports adventures 🏉⚽✈️

We’re so lucky to have Dr Giselle on our team — bringing expertise, care, and lots of smiles to Bite Size Paediatric Dentistry! 💕
