You may already know her smiling face around Little Swimmers, but we thought it was time to help you get to know Kimberley a little better! 🥰

Kimberley has now been part of the Little Swimmers team for 12 months, and we’re so lucky to have her as part of our swimming family. 💙

From helping our little swimmers build their confidence in the water, to welcoming families at reception, Kimberley brings her big smile, caring nature and positive energy to everything she does. 🏊‍♀️✨

🫧 FUN FACT FRIYAY! 🫧

Why is blowing bubbles such a BIG part of swimming lessons?

You might see your little swimmer blowing bubbles during their lesson and think, “They’re just having fun!”😄

But there’s actually a lot of learning happening beneath those bubbles! 🌊💙

🫧 Blowing bubbles helps children learn breath control.
Learning to breathe out while their face is in the water is an important foundation for swimming.

🫧 It helps children become comfortable putting their face in the water.
For some children, this can take time. We want them to develop confidence gradually and have positive experiences.

🫧 It prepares them for swimming strokes.
As children progress, controlled breathing becomes an important part of freestyle, backstroke and other swimming skills.

🫧 It teaches a skill they can use when they need to recover.
Being comfortable controlling their breathing in the water is an important part of becoming a capable swimmer.

And the best part? 💦

We don’t need to rush it!

At Little Swimmers, we meet children where they’re at and build these skills through play, repetition, encouragement and positive experiences.

To all the dads, step-dads, grandads and father figures who show up for our little swimmers week after week, we see you. 🥹

We see you from the wet towel on the passenger seat… 🚗💦
To the goggles, towels and swimmers that somehow end up everywhere. 😂

To sitting in the same chair every week, watching every kick, splash and little achievement. 🪑👀
