2 x races at the Loop this week. The weather was kind enough on both occasions to allow us to do this - thanks again to our marshalls and volunteers for giving up their time yesterday. Well done to everyone who pinned a number on and tested themselves! Results below, with photos to follow.

Racing at The Loop today and thanks to Nick Tapp for the insight, as reported below:
We had a good morning's racing with an initially damp track drying nicely. A slight shakedown of grades started at the top today as a handful of sometime A-graders were moved to B.
There’s sometimes an understandable reluctance to move down, and we don’t always get enough riders to justify making an E grade, but we’ll see how this plays out. The aim is safe, competitive racing that gives everyone a chance at a result.

The conditions were stunning for road racing yesterday at Yarra Glen. Not a breath of wind and beautiful sunny skies greeted our riders.
We had lots of attacking within the bunches with most of the splits happening very early in the piece. Glenview Rd with its little pinch towards the top, saw lively legs and plenty of pain faces.
A great spot to catch the action with some shots pasted below.
Well done to everyone and a special thanks as always goes to our crew that marshalled, our Chief Comms, trailer tower, esky provider and our First Aider whom we thankfully didn't need to call into action!

We had a very fresh day out at Gruyere for our road racing on Saturday. It was a gorgeous sunny day, although windy and cold, with smaller fields reflecting the Wintery conditions. Thanks to our marshalls and everyone who assisted, we couldn't race without your help. Well done to all who pinned a number on as well!

Results for last Wednesday's racing at The Loop.

We had another good day, sunny but cold, especially down the back straight.
Joe Spano pulled off an impressive solo escape to win A grade; fantastic effort Joe!

Ross Clark slipped through the final corner in front and was too quick for the rest of B grade.

Lucio Cesario scored another win in C grade, and Shane Dwyer was the sole D grader after Ken Bone put himself up.

Well done to everyone who raced.

We had very small fields for racing at Casey Fields yesterday. It is Winter, perhaps some are in hibernation?
