Meet Imogen - swim teacher at Ivanhoe Swim, Australia's 2025 Deaflympics flag bearer, and the inspiration behind something we're incredibly excited about. From being turned away from learn-to-swim programs as a child to winning gold in Japan, her journey is one of resilience, advocacy, and a deep love for the water.
That journey has led to the launch of a dedicated swimming program for Deaf and Hard of Hearing swimmers at Ivanhoe Swim - open to children and adults of all abilities, led by Imogen, and held at our Ridgeway Campus.

Ivanhoe Swim Presentation Night – 3rd Edition
Once a year, the coaches take off the blue t-shirts and come together with families to celebrate an incredible season.
We can’t thank our families enough for their commitment, support, and trust throughout the year. Your support behind the scenes plays a huge role in every athlete’s journey.
It’s always emotional to look back and see the individual growth of our athletes, both in and out of the pool. We are truly grateful to be part of that journey.
Over the past three years, we have proudly built a strong culture and high-performance environment together. Our coaching team continues to work closely, learn from each other, and push the program forward as one team.
A special thank you to our Strength & Conditioning Head Coach, Adam and his team for building an outstanding program and supporting our athletes’ performances throughout the season.
It was also fantastic to have the Doreen program join the night for the first time and celebrate the season’s success together.
Thank you to everyone who supported our Presentation Night and helped make it such a special evening.
And a special shoutout to Ivanhoe Grammar student Ash for capturing amazing photos throughout the night.
We can’t wait to see what the 2026/2027 season brings.
