Three strong swims and an great achievement!

Grace showed great determination, resilience and a fantastic racing attitude throughout the championships. Every race was an opportunity to challenge herself, and she gave everything she had.

2026 VICTORIAN SC OPEN CHAMPIONSHIPS 🏆

A huge CONGRATULATIONS to our incredible Ivanhoe Swim team!

👧 14 Girls
👦 14 Boys
🏊 4 Coaches
🤝 ONE TEAM

Together, we finished 6th overall in Victoria! 💪

🥇 6 Gold Medals
🥉 3 Bronze Medals
🏅 15 Finalists

But the results are only part of the story.

Over the past two days, we were so proud to see our swimmers approach EACH RACE with an incredible professional mindset — trusting their race plans, staying focused under pressure, supporting each other and giving everything they had until the final touch.

The teamwork, race attitude and determination across the whole team were outstanding.

A massive thank you to our coaching team for their commitment and support, and to all our parents and families for the incredible support throughout the championships.

This is what being a team is all about.

With only a few days to prepare for the jump from Age to Open, Eli has been working hard on his turns and challenging himself with new skills.

WHAT A RELAY!

Huge congratulations to our 4x100m Freestyle Relay team — Thomas S, Daniel, Kaisei & Eli!

🥉 5th in the State! 🏆

In such a competitive field, our boys gave everything they had and raced together as a true team.

The teamwork, the energy, the fighting spirit — and those exciting moments when we were all cheering from the stands! 🙌

It was an incredible race and such a proud moment for Ivanhoe Swim.

We all know how much Ikuha loves to race, and it was so special to see how proud she was of herself after making her comeback from injury.

She’s still not 100%, but she gave everything she had today and showed incredible determination, courage and fighting spirit.

ANOTHER GREAT SWIM FROM KAISEI!

Congratulations, Kaisei!

800m Freestyle — 4th in Victoria!

What an incredible swim after race after race throughout this SC season. This was Kaisei’s final individual event, and despite the fatigue, he still delivered a strong performance — just off his recent PB from last week!

His consistency, mindset and determination throughout the entire championship have been outstanding.

Great work, Kaisei! 👏

CONGRATULATIONS LEON! 🦋

What a way to finish the Open Championships!

Leon finished 6th in Victoria in the 200m Butterfly — an incredible result in an event that is still very new for him.

He has only raced the 200m Fly a few times this season, originally adding it to his program to help develop his 400m IM.

But it didn’t take long for this event to become one of his favourites!

After racing a strong 200m Breaststroke, Leon came back and put together another tough race in the 200m Butterfly, showing great strength and determination right through to the finish.

Two challenging events, back-to-back, and he never stopped fighting.

6th in Victoria and another great step forward.

DANIEL PB!!!!!

Massive congratulations, Daniel!

Daniel broke the 1:50 barrier in the 200m Freestyle, finishing 4th in Victoria! 🏅

He stayed focused on his race plan and the skills he has been working on over the past few months — and today, he put it all together when it mattered most.

Even better, his training partners Kaisei and Eli followed him into the final, with all three Ivanhoe swimmers making the final this afternoon! 🔥

After taking a little break from swimming and then coming back to achieve a PB on this stage, this result means so much.

Daniel trusted the process, stayed patient, and worked his way back to this level.

This is just the beginning. 🚀

WHAT A RACE FROM LEON!

We all know our age swimmers are feeling the fatigue from last week’s competition, but Leon never used that as an excuse to slow down.

He gave it everything he had, just like he always does. His mindset, race attitude and determination were incredible!

At just 16 years old, Leon finished 4th in the State in the 200m Breaststroke, just missing his PB!

What an achievement, Leon!

So proud of the way you keep fighting and challenging yourself, no matter how tired you are.
