Muscular tension release work with Mike 🕉️

Mike is a busy man who runs an Entertainment Company Amongst business management duties, his profession is highly active - requiring regular movement & exertion of his body through dance, emceeing and singing

Mike asked if he could do a session with me recently, as he has been experiencing tension within that has been a weight for him on an emotional and physical level. I told him I could be of service to facilitate the healing process of that tension and so we moved into the work

After 60 mins of conscious stretching, breath work, manual release therapy and affirmations, Mike transcended out of the session feeling lighter and like a massive weight had been lifted from him

This is the feeling of personal freedom and everyone should be able to walk through this life pain and tension free. Mike you’ve been a pleasure to work with:)

Releasing my lat’s using a dynamic tension release exercise along the Yarra River 🌞

As it relates to releasing bothering tension from the body, the methodology of relief doesn’t have to be as formal as you may think. Many people experience tension within their body and run along to get a massage, dry needling, cupping therapy etc.. which is fine… providing you’re willing to pay for every tension related issue that arises in your life

I can say with confidence that I could not tell you the last time I paid someone for massage, dry needling or cupping therapy. Unless I’m dealing with a more serious pain related issue or injury, then I mostly can heal myself by relying on static and dynamic stretching, self applied pressure-point-release and strengthening exercises. This is a very empowering position to be in and when I work 1:1 with clients that require help with pain or tension relief, I explain that I’m here to not only help them out of pain, but to also help them understand how they can take care of the majority of their tension and pain issues..

It’s a great feeling to have confidence that you can help yourself when you’re feeling tight or there is a feeling of pain within the body:)

Session review: Karen was referred to me by another client who I helped overcome chronic long-term knee pain. In the initial session she explained that she experienced the sensation of regular neck tension. After assessing her posture and movement I released the tight muscles that were supporting her neck tension. I then further supported her by prescribing stretches and dynamic-muscular-tension release techniques that she can implement at home or at the Gym. By the end of the session Karen was feeling tension free in her neck and had much greater range-of-motion when turning her head side-to-side:)

2022 is about to come to a close
so I’d like to formally thank any of you that placed your faith, trust and investment into my services

It is the progression of my health, wellness & fitness journey, which is then further supported by the ascension of my clientele that keeps me motivated to continue offering my fitness and rehab services

As we’re approaching the end of another year it’s naturally a time of reflection for all of us..

I encourage you to take the time to step back and evaluate your performance as a human being for 2022

What were you major wins?

What were the major lessons you learnt from your perceived ‘mistakes’ (aka - learning/ascension of self opportunities)?

Develop strategies to ensure next year you’re less likely to repeat the mistakes of the past and that you’re well on the path of personal evolution - whatever that may be for you…

Set clear and defined goals

I’m sure everyone who reads this is thinking about how they want to make life improvements next year in some shape or form.

Now there is a big difference between thinking and doing

Don’t rely solely on destiny or that everything will just fall into place for you

Be accountable for all of your habits, thoughts, beliefs, actions, behaviours and feelings

These all help shape the path you’re moving towards

Make 2023 the year that you shine in every area of your life

Because your higher self is demanding it from you

Got this stellar of a gentleman, Glen executing the seated Piriformis stretch. Glen has a previous history of dealing with Sciatica, thankfully that is now under control and he is no longer in pain 🙏

We’re working together to restructure his posture and improve quality of movement and overall functionality. As you can see in the photo, his left knee is sitting very high in this stretch due to muscular tension accumulation. Ideally, this knee should be in-line with the right side.

We’re also doing preventive work to ensure that sciatic pain does not return…. stretching the piriformis is a primary preventative strategy:)
