RACE TO RIVERSIDE CUP UPDATE.

We held another major this week, with the Captains Trophy event being held.

Aaron Murphy is still ahead of the pack by a whopping 144 points.

MARIN Efendic and Darren Newby made a play for the lead having a great few weeks.

Still there are majors still to play so keep the chase going.

Wrll done Aaron in dominating the event so far.

Super day out on the course today.

CAPTAINS TROPHY EVENT.

A great field of golfers competing for the trophy.

Only one could win it.

And that person was Rishal Kanniappen who has picked up his first trophy ever at our club.

Scoring +3 Rishal was always in control of his round. A quick start with a good couple of holes set the tone for the day.

So good to see him win his first trophy today.

Rishal took out the event with +3 also taking out group B

In second place was Jason Gleadhill finishing even for the event.

Our top five

Rishal Kanniappen +3
Stanley Morton who was pipped on the line on ghe last hole finished 2nd with +2
Extremely unlucky not to win the event.
In third Daniel Terzini with an even round
4th Jason Gleadhill with an even finish also
5th Craig Smith -1

Truelly a great day and with the weather improving we have many Sundays to look forward too.

Next week we have the 4bbbb Ambrose event the Jack Cuff memorial trophy.

Many call it sorry golf ha ha.

Book your places and set the strategy for the day. An 8 am shot gun start.

Lets have a fun and cracking event.

Just a quick reminder that tomorrow is our Captain’s Trophy at Riverside.

Good luck to everyone competing in the Captain’s Trophy.

This week we held the Stableford event off the white tees.

We wish that all the Fathers got spoilt for the day. Weather wise it was a great day with the rain missing the course for most of the day.

Stanley Morton winning the event with a score of 35 points.

The group started a little earlier and had no pressure throughout the round with the building pack.

Stanley really played amazingly well to take the win.

Stanley Morton first for Group B and for the event.

In second overall Pete Anastasi 34 points taking out group A also.

Ian Lesware in third with 34 points
And John Todd with 34 points also in 4th

Captains trophy next week another Major so lets all book a time and have a great day.

Race to Riverside Essendon Golf Club Cup

Another week and the leader Aaron Murphy keeps building his lead.

A great year so far from Aaron who is always finishing high up on the leader board.

A few positional changes this week but none more then Aaron.

Well done Aaron.

Hi all!

Next year the Race to Riverside Essendon Golf Club Cup

Is going to be the biggest ever.

My aim is to have 75 percent of member registered to show case not only you consistent game play but to reward you for playing.

As you know this is our version of the Fed Ex Cup.

Standard rounds reward points to the top 5 players on the list that have paid reg.

Major events rewards the top 10

And club Championship rewarda the winners.

Our leader this year is Aaron Murphy who is well aware of the chasing pack in this years cup race.

Lets all register when it is time generally it is 5 dollars entry.

We will send email out to all member in due course.

This week we held the Monthly medal event for August.

With a great turn out in the event we could only habe one outright winner.

Congratulatioms Marin Efendic in taking out the event.

Marin was in full voice today. He was hapoy and having a great time and of course playing great golf.

With 67 strokes nett Marin beat all competitors taking out this month medal and also taking out the Group A win also.

In second we had Ray Collins with 71 strokes Nett

And in third Mark Kingsley with 71 Strokes net also.

The winner of group B was Ray Collins Well done to Ray in winning group B.

I want to thank everyone dor the great golf played today.

We are a great club.

Race To Riverside Cup

This week we see swift movement from Marin Efendic who has take maximum points from the last two events.

Aaron Murphy still Leads the cup. 502 points

Chris Kratsis in second 358 points

Darryl Andrews 348 points

Marin Efendic 342 points

And Darren Newby with 314 points round off the top 5

With Aaron continually scoring in the Majors he will be tough to catch.

Keep the heat on amd you never know what could happen.

Yarrawonga im sure we all agree is a wonderful location.

Both courses offered some challanges,

A big thank you to Steve Adams and Shane clarke and the committee for planning the event.

A weekend away with great golfing.
