A fantastic first game from the boys, showing great resilience and determination. Playing the entire second half a player down, they stuck to instructions, managed the game well, and battled right to the end.

Plenty of positives to take from this performance and a great platform to build on for the season ahead.

Under 14s v Glenorchy Knights 2-1 Loss

A new coach, fresh faces, and a whole new level of challenge faced the UTAS U14 Premier team yesterday at Olinda Grove as they took on Glenorchy Knights.

After a tough 10–0 loss to the Knights in a recent friendly, this was always going to be a big test—but the response was outstanding. In hot conditions, UTAS matched the intensity, defending resolutely in the first half before finding their rhythm after the break.

The second half saw several promising counterattacks, with one leading to a penalty. Captain Elijah stepped up and calmly slotted it into the top right corner—quality finish under pressure.

While the match ended in a 2–1 loss, there were plenty of positives. New talent emerged, and most importantly, the team rediscovered the fighting spirit and never-give-up attitude that defined them last season.

Next up, a home clash against Clarence, who come in with strong momentum after a big win over South East United.
