Our Certificate III in Carpentry students had an exciting and hands-on site visit at the frame stage this week!
This stage is one of the most critical phases in residential construction, where students get to see the structure come to life — from wall frames and roof trusses to bracing and tie-down systems.
👷♂️ What students explored:
✔️ Wall and roof framing techniques
✔️ Structural components and load paths
✔️ Bracing and tie-down requirements (as per Australian Standards)
✔️ Interpretation of construction drawings on-site
✔️ Safe work practices in a live building environment
This practical exposure helps students bridge the gap between theory and real-world application, building confidence and industry-ready skills.
