Congratulations to Eddy Freebairn from our U11 Driscoll team on reaching the fantastic milestone of 50 games for the East Brighton Vampires.

Fifty games is a wonderful achievement and reflects Eddy’s commitment, enthusiasm and love for the game. From his very first match to this milestone, he’s been an important part of the team, building friendships, developing his skills and proudly pulling on the red and white every week.

Well done, Eddy, on your first 50 games. We can’t wait to see what the next 50 bring!

One hundred games represents years of early mornings, training nights, tough contests, great friendships and an unwavering commitment to the club. Milestones like this aren’t just about the number. They’re about the journey, the memories made and the people who have been there every step of the way.

For our U15 Girls, yesterday’s game against Ormond was about far more than the scoreboard. Just over a week ago, assistant coach Darren lost his mum. She was a Life Member of both the Ormond Junior Football Club and the Ormond Amateur Football Club . From what the family has shared, only a handful of people have ever received that honour, reflecting the extraordinary time, commitment and love she gave to her club over many years.

In a twist that felt especially meaningful, the team found themselves playing Ormond this week.

Daz knew she would have loved that.

Community football has a remarkable way of reminding us what really matters. The people who volunteer, who give endlessly to their clubs, and who leave a legacy that extends well beyond the game itself.

The U15 Girls were proud to stand alongside Darren and Ali yesterday wearing armbands to remember her. Our thoughts are with them, and with everyone at Ormond, as they remember an incredible woman whose contribution to football and her community will never be forgotten.

💯 100 Games for Tommy Gibson ❤️🤍

This weekend we celebrate an incredible milestone as Tommy Gibson pulls on the red and white for the 100th time with our U13 Division 1 team.

When Tommy’s family shared a photo from his very first game, one detail stood out… the black eye he proudly wore after his debut! Looking back now, it’s hard to believe how far he’s come since that first day in the red and white.

Over the past 100 games, Tommy has grown into a determined, resilient and team-first player who gives everything for his teammates. His commitment, sportsmanship and love for the club make him a wonderful representative of the Vampires.

Congratulations, Tommy, on an outstanding 100-game milestone. We can’t wait to see what the next chapter holds.
