MIKE HILL ON MY WORLD IS ROUND 09/03/2026

THE VOICE OF OUR YOUTH...THE VOICE OF AUSTRALIAN SOCCER THROUGH THE 70'S , 80'S , AND EARLY 90'S.
Born in London, migrated to Australia in 1969 as a "10 pound pom"...Mike applied for and got a job commentating for CHANNEL 10's TOP SOCCER SHOW in 1977. Right at the beginning of the NSL.
Mike subsequently worked at SBS (CHANNEL O/28) and became the voice of Australian Soccer , both at club level and on the International stage with our Socceroos.

Here Mike talks us through his migration, time in soccer and his move to the USA , for family reasons, where he continued commentating for ESPN.
An amazing story, with many chapters....I hope you enjoy the chat we had.

PETER DRURY chatting with COTSY 09/03/2026

INTERVIEW / CHAT NUMBER 20
PETER DRURY

Peter Drury (born December 1967) is a football commentator, formerly with ITV Sport as their number two football commentator, a role he had held from 1998–2013. Currently, Drury works for Premier League Productions, as well as for BT Sport on their FA Cup, Champions League and Europa League coverage.

(That is the Wikipedia description.)

After chatting to Peter for an hour and preparing for our chat for over a week through email correspondence, I can tell you he is a gentleman, a passionate football fan and one hell of a nice guy. Down to earth and easy to chat with. Add to this his ability to make football sound so good, to help paint the picture with some poetry and well chosen words born from the same passion of the game as those of us who are watching.

It was a treat to chat with him and absolute privilege.

I hope you enjoy watching this as much as I did recording it.
